Station History
In 1898, by decision of Nicholas II, in a very short time, the Pavelets-Moscow branch was built, which connected the city with the twelve provinces of Russia. The station for this branch was Paveletsky built in 1900. Until the beginning of the 30s, however, it was called Saratov.
The architect of the station was Alexander Krasovsky. He developed the design of the building, characteristic of that time. It so harmoniously blended with the look of Moscow that during the reconstruction in the 80s of the XX century, its style was preserved.
How to get to the Paveletsky station
The station is located at: Paveletskaya square, house 1. You can get there by various means of transport, including the metro.
The easiest way to get to the place is by metro. The Moscow subway is an affordable form of transport, one minus is that with suitcases the movement will not be so comfortable, but quite possible. To get to the place, you need to go to any of the stations with the name "Paveletskaya". There are two such platforms in the Moscow metro: on the Ring Line and on Zamoskvoretskaya. From the Zamoskvoretskaya branch you can go directly to the lobby of the station. In order to shorten the path, there should always be a metro map in your pocket.
Paveletsky Station is located near the historical center of the capital, where land transport is well developed. Buses 6, 13, 106, 158 and 632 can also take you to Paveletskaya Square. Another type of transport is a trolley bus. He stops right at the entrance to the station. Route No. B follows here. How is the station
Outside, it looks like a one-story building, but inside the station there are three levels, where ticket offices, a waiting room, luggage storage, cafes, shops and other services work.
The station serves 12 railway platforms, from where commuter trains and long-distance trains depart. The station is able to serve over 1 thousand people per hour. This is a significant figure. Recently, Aeroexpress departs from here to Domodedovo Airport. Paveletsky station, the scheme of which, as a rule, contains only the image of the first level and platforms, consists of three floors:
- At the basement level there are luggage storage rooms, cafes and shops, cash desks, as well as a special Aeroexpress ticket office.
- At the first level, there are ticket offices for long-distance trains and trains, as well as a waiting room, telephone, cafe, shops and the hall of official delegations. From here you can go directly to the Paveletskaya metro station of the Zamoskvoretskaya branch and to the station platforms.
- At the upper level there is a waiting room for superior comfort, here you can watch movies and also have a bite to eat in a cozy atmosphere.

Parking (the scheme is described below) is a paid service. It is located on the side of Dubininskaya street and can accommodate 67 cars. The cost of parking is from 100 rubles and above, depending on the downtime. Parking for up to 5 minutes is free.
In order to relax the passenger, all conditions are created here: sleeping places are provided for an additional fee, waiting rooms, a shower and a toilet work. If special comfort is required, the choice is best made in favor of the hotel.
Aeroexpress
Aeroexpress connects the largest airport in the country Domodedovo and Paveletsky Station. The cash desk and platform locations are shown above. The departure of the Aeroexpress is reported by speakerphone.
Aeroexpress is also good because check-in can be done right at the station. The train follows without stops, travel time is 45 minutes. Aeroexpress leaves daily from 6 a.m. to 00:30 a.m., and during this period it is the most convenient and comfortable way to get to the airport.
How to pass the time while waiting for the train
This issue is of interest to many passengers traveling through the Paveletsky station. The layout of the metro and the station itself has been studied, but what else to do is a difficult question. It all depends on how much time is left before the train leaves.
If time is short, you can see the Church of Flora and Lavra on Zatsep. It is located behind the train station. The construction of the temple began in 1778. You can also visit the Museum of the Moscow Railway, where its main relic is located - the funeral train of V.I. Lenin.
If you have several hours left, you can safely go on a tour of Moscow. There are two options: to take a trolleybus No. B or a special sightseeing bus that picks up groups right at the trolleybus stop. Both excursions will last a little over an hour.
