The dress of the future princess is liked by girls from young to old. In special stores or on the Internet, you can easily find a Rapunzel costume. But the prices of such goods are usually high, and children are growing rapidly. But after spending a little time and imagination, you can make a Rapunzel costume with your own hands at a much lower cost. Simple rapunzel costume for girls

To make it top, all that was needed was to take a pink turtleneck, with the help of a glue "spider line", glue the ribbons on the chest to simulate a corset and with the help of tulle ribbons in two stitches make puff sleeves. - wide satin ribbon - 1 m (a little more if the child is older);
- tulle in shades of pink and light purple-4-5 m (or several coils of wide tulle ribbons);
- scissors;
- big cardboard.
How to make a universal fluffy skirt-tutu?
The work is simple and fast:
- Cut tulle of different shades into strips 10 cm wide (so that they are approximately the same, roll out the fabric and mark with tailor pins every 10 cm).
- Now you need to cut the finished tape into parts that are 2 times larger than the desired length of the skirt, + 5 cm. For this, it is convenient to wind them on cardboard of a suitable size and then cut them at the fold.

For work you will need:
- tulle of 3 colors: pink, purple, light lilac - 6-7 m total (whole fabric or in ribbons);
- wide elastic openwork bandage;
- pink and violet ribbons - 1 and 3 m, respectively;
- large rhinestones;
- glue gun.
Costume Workflow
The process can be divided into 4 stages:
- Attach the tulle to the elastic base in the same way as in the previous version of the costume. But since the bandage has many rows with holes, it is best to make several rows of knots - so the skirt will become even more magnificent.
- With a pink ribbon, make an imitation of a corset on the chest.
- Use the violet ribbon to make straps - just thread them with a loop just like they sewed tulle and throw them on your back. To choose their optimal length, it is best to try on a dress for a child. Then pass the ribbons on the back in the form of lacing and tie the ends with a bow.
- Glue large rhinestones onto the skirt using hot glue.

More difficult work
If you have the basic skills of cutting and working with a sewing machine, then you can make a real Rapunzel carnival costume. Of course, it will take much more time, but it pretty much matches the cartoon image of the heroine and is suitable for older girls.
Materials (footage depends on the age and parameters of the child):
- dense lilac fabric - 4 m;
- lining fabric - 4 m;
- translucent purple fabric - 2 m;
- pink ribbon - 5 m;
- Velcro - 3 pairs;
- glue web - 2 m;
- threads in tone;
- an elastic band 3-4 cm wide - 1 m;
- sewing supplies and machine.
Work on the top of the costume
- To ease your task, take a T-shirt that sits well on the child, fold it in half and circle around - this will be a pattern of the armhole.
- Do the same with a T-shirt or turtleneck to choose the shape of the sleeve and the length of the bodice. Now make changes to the resulting patterns. Increase the pattern of the sleeves at the top and bottom, because the Rapunzel costume has magnificent sleeves on the dress; make a copy of the bodice pattern and add a pointed end along the bottom edge to simulate a corset.
- Using the resulting patterns, cut from the fabric two halves for the back and one solid piece for the front. Do not forget about seam allowances. Repeat step to make identical details from a lining fabric, combine them with the main fabric.
- Sew the shoulders, work on the edges of the neckline. Then combine the lower edges of the main fabric and the lining, bast, stitch and iron (on all 3 parts).
- According to the pattern, cut out the sleeves from the square of the main and lining fabric bent in half. Chip them in pairs.
- Sew parallel pink ribbons on the front side.
- Measure the circumference of the child’s hand, cut a rectangle 5 cm wide, measured + 2 cm long into the seams.
- Sew on the sleeve blank with wide stitches and pull the thread to pick up the fabric. Take the hem of the sleeve and sew.
- Now you can collect the top. Sew on the sleeve and stitch the shoulder seam. Then connect the sides of the dress.
- To make it comfortable to wear, work on the edges of the sections of the back parts and sew 3 pair of Velcro.
- Take a pink ribbon with a margin (about 2 m) and sew in front, simulating a lacing.
Make a skirt
To complete the Rapunzel costume for the girl, it remains to finish his bottom. The process here is pretty simple:
- Take measurements from the child - waist circumference and the desired length of the skirt (from the waist to the ankle + 7 cm). Add a seam allowance and multiply the waist circumference by 2. According to these parameters, cut out a large rectangle from the main fabric, lining and beautiful translucent material.
- Combine all the layers, bast, stitch the edges and side seam.
- Perhaps your machine will chew decorative material. In this case, use the glue "cobweb".
- Bend the top edge of the skirt and sew it so as to make the drawstring wide enough to thread the elastic. Stretch it with a pin and sew.
