The Greek Visa Center was created to make life easier for those tourists who want to admire the ancient monuments, visit the famous islands of Greece, soak up the beach and try Greek cuisine. In other words, when the flow of tourists to this country became so great that the consulate stopped dealing with visa processing, a decision was made to entrust this matter to an outside organization. This is called the clever word "outsourcing", that is, the use of the strengths and capabilities of the hired structure to perform certain functions. Any services can be outsourced - and visa processing is no exception.
Greek Visa Application Center has its own specialization. He deals exclusively with short-term visas - those that are issued for short-term visits. Such international trips are considered trips, the total duration of which in the amount is not more than 90 days within six months. The Greek Visa Application Center works with tourists who are sent by travel agencies, with those guests of the country who go there at the invitation of relatives or friends, with businessmen and other people who travel to Greece on business. In particular, a short-term visa is issued to participants of various international congresses, conferences and seminars that take place in this country, athletes and artists who come for performances, as well as long-distance truck drivers who bring goods to or from there.
Alas, I must admit that the Greek visa center does not work for free. The minimum cost of a visa, which was at the consulate, has increased significantly. And the decrease in lines led to an increase in tourist costs. By agreement with the European Union, the preferential cost of a Schengen visa for Russians should be 35 euros. But this agreement does not apply to the services of third parties. That's why an ordinary tourist often has to pay 70 euros each - this includes not only the consular, but also an additional service fee for the urgency of registration. On the other hand, if you compare this price with the price list of companies specializing in urgent visa issuance for various periods, then these prices seem ridiculously low.
The Greek Visa Application Center in Moscow does not provide its services to most residents of the European part of Russia. In addition to it, there are similar centers in St. Petersburg, Novorossiysk, Samara, Rostov-on-Don, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk and Vladivostok. In other words, they are as close as possible to the Russians, who so loved the sunny Greece. However, the use of their services is not necessary. In our country, after all, there is more than one consulate of Greece that has its own “controlled” territories, the inhabitants of which are free to use their services specifically. In particular, consulates exist not only in Moscow, but also in St. Petersburg and Novorossiysk. Finally, documents from more numerous visa centers flock to these three consulates.
