As you probably already noticed, knitted vests are back in fashion again in all their diversity. This gives us the opportunity to choose the style of a knitted vest to your taste and knit it in literally three days. I propose to consider the classic model, on the basis of which you can create your own version of the product, making minor amendments.
Knitting: Women's Vest
What do we need for work?
- Circular knitting needles on fishing line number 3.
- Knitting needles number 3.
- Half-woolen yarn “Cashmere gold”, 320 m per 100 g, 3 skeins.
- Buttons decorative to match.
We will knit a female vest without side seams, with a single fabric. In general, if the pattern allows, knitting without seams greatly simplifies the process of work and further care for knitwear.
For sizes 48 - 50, we put 256 loops on the needles, of which 2 are hem. We knit a 2x2 elastic band 30 - 35 cm high, then we begin to make an armhole. In the front row, remove the hem, knit 60 p. In the pattern, close 6 p., Knit 122 p. In the pattern, close 6 p. And knit in the pattern to the end of the row.
From this moment, the shelves and the back are performed separately, the working thread is from the side of the left shelf. In each next front row on the side of the armhole, we close in turn 2, 2, 1, 1, and 1 loop, until there are 54 loops on the knitting needles. Further, if our vest is female with a V-neck, we proceed to the design of the neck. To do this, at the end of each front row, we knit together the second and third from the end of the loop so that the second lies on top, forming a pigtail along the neckline. Close the hinges until there are 24 loops on the knitting needles. We knit 2 more rows according to the drawing and remove the loops on the hosiery auxiliary knitting needle. The left shelf is ready.
In the same way, we knit the right shelf, remove the loops on the second auxiliary knitting needle.
Women's vest: knit back
We tie the working thread and knit 122 p. Of the front row, then at the beginning of each row we close in turn 2, 2, 1, 1, and 1 loop for the design of the armhole, 108 stitches remain on the knitting needles. We knit according to the figure 53 rows, then in the front we knit 29 loops, close 50 p., End the row. In each next front row from the neck side, we close in turn 2, 2, 1 loops, there will be 24 loops on the spoke. We knit 2 rows according to the drawing and remove the loops on the hosiery auxiliary knitting needle. Similarly, we knit out the right shoulder.
To connect the shoulder seams, we crochet the corresponding loops of the shelf and back together, we fix the seam.
In order for our women's vest to be fastened with buttons, it is necessary to tie the bar with loops on the right shelf. From the edge ones, we collect the corresponding number of loops in a circle and we knit a 4 cm wide elastic band. Do not forget that for the buttons you need to make loops, knit 2 loops with the subsequent crochet, it is advisable to do this on the wrong loops of the picture. The distance between the loops is usually 10 -12 cm, marking should be done from the most convex point of the chest, evenly calculating the number of loops up and down. The armholes of the vest are also decorated with a bar of the appropriate width.
The finished product is lightly steamed through the fabric, we sew the buttons. We knitted a vest for women with knitting needles, but by the same principle you can knit vests and sleeveless jackets with a simple or Tunisian crochet.
