Tilda's toys and dolls have recently become quite popular. They look funny, comfortable and cause interest not only in children. For many, making dolls has become a kind of hobby. In the new year, the decorative monkey Tilda is very popular. The pattern of the toy is quite simple and does not require special skills in sewing. With a little imagination, you can create a wonderful monkey and no one will definitely have such a second.
What to sew a doll
In order to make Tilda, even old clothes can be used, because it happens that a thing has not been worn for a long time, and it is a pity to throw it away, because the fabric is of high quality. Surely every housewife has such options. Pieces of chintz, fur, lace - all come in handy. The basis of the pattern of the monkey Tilda The original version of traditional dolls will be used.
Tools and materials
To get started, prepare the necessary materials and accessories for sewing. You will need the following:
- paper for a pattern of Tilda's monkey;
- fabric cuts, you can choose according to your taste;
- scissors, needles, pins, threads;

- synthetic winterizer for stuffing toys;
- two black beads for the eye.

Preparation for cutting
Now you can arm yourself with a pencil, paper and begin to build a pattern. Transfer the pattern proposed in the photo onto the paper, you can simply redraw it by hand or print to the printer in the required size. - fold the brown fabric in half so that it is convenient to cut paired details;
- lay on it the parts of the pattern cut out of paper: body 1 pc., arms 2 pcs., legs 2 pcs.;
- make one piece of dark color on the ears, and the inner pieces will look better from light material, also 1 pc each, and cut out the pattern of the muzzle from it;
- circle the elements with small pieces and cut with an allowance of up to 0.5 cm so that the fabric does not climb when stitching.

Connection parts
Start with the muzzle, this is an important moment to make your toy look like the original Tilda doll. The monkey will turn out wonderful!
We connect the patterns of the upper and lower parts, having previously stitched a tuck from above, thanks to it the face will look three-dimensional.
Now sew the two halves of the “face” on the wrong side, do not forget to leave a couple of stitches not sewn for twisting and filling with padding polyester. Lay the line evenly, otherwise the errors will then be visible, since the head will not be covered.
In the same way, connect the details of the ears, dark with light. It is important to iron the parts after turning the iron over, after which all the seams will fall into place, the monkey’s face after smoothing should already take its shape. Also around the circumference, the muzzle can be ironed at a distance of 0.5 cm from the edge for the convenience of sewing to the head.
Sew the arms and legs of the Tilda monkey pattern and twist through the incision left unstitched. So all the components for the torso are ready. It remains to collect all the details together.
Mark with a chalk on the fabric the places for the ears in accordance with the paper base with the body pattern, bend them inward and fasten them with pins (ears do not need to be stuffed with filler). Do the same with arms and legs pre-filled with padding polyester. Now the body is stitched in a circle, pins are removed along the line. It is important to leave a few centimeters, you can somewhere on the side, unstitched for turning and stuffing sintepon.
Making funny faces
Well, that turned out to be a practically finished monkey, but without a “face”. Now you need to work with a needle manually. Fill the prepared face with synthetic winterizer and pin it evenly on the base of the mug so that when sewing the monkey does not work with a crooked mouth. Attach the part with a hidden seam, slightly fitting if necessary.
There is the final touch. Tilda traditional dolls have very small bead eyes. Therefore, small black beads can be sewn as an eye. First, a pattern is drawn on paper, cut out, transferred to the material and cut out on fabric with allowances for seams. It is important to keep the dimensions for your monkey. If you made a big doll, then the dress needs to be made bigger, observing the proportions.
The outfit is sewn quite simply. It is necessary to stitch the side seams, then the shoulder. To process the edges with a seam in the hem; well, sew on lace and ribbons for beauty.
