Of course, if you wish, you can use the brand M300 or even M500, but what's the point of overpaying? If the building is not higher than 2-3 floors, the M100 brand will be quite enough.
Concrete M100
This brand is popular and widely used for various construction works. It has the simplest composition, which, of course, favorably affects its price. However, it should be remembered that its strength indicators are also low and this material can only be used where the load does not exceed the limit levels for this brand.
Concrete M100 is most often used in preparatory work to create a foundation base. It is also used in the construction of roads as the underlying foundation, especially if too heavy traffic is not planned on such a road. It is great for installing curbs, gutters, blind areas, ebbs, sidewalks, walkways, that is, for concreting any non-load-bearing structures.
Concrete M100 is often called skinny. The name is due to the fact that its composition includes the minimum allowable amount of cement, which is responsible for the connection of all aggregate elements. The mixture is made using lime or gravel crushed stone or granite filler. The ratio of crushed stone, sand and cement for this brand of concrete is 7: 4.6: 1.

This is a cement-sand
building mixture, which is intended for plastering the foundations. For its manufacture, the best
grades of cement M300 and M400 are used, and clay and lime act as additives. Using this solution, the facing of various surfaces is performed. It is good to use to eliminate defects and bumps. This mixture is also widely used for sealing tile joints and for laying ceramic, gypsum and other types of tiles. Sometimes it is used with cement screed floor.
Which is better to use, mortar or concrete?
If the brand of these building materials is the same, then their strength will be the same. However, if we take into account such a parameter as wear resistance, then from this point of view concrete will be better, since the mortar is inferior to it by about three times in this indicator. However, the solution does not have a large aggregate - crushed stone, and therefore in some cases it will still be better. As you can see, it all depends on the specifics of the work, and therefore the choice depends on the specific situation.
