Sooner or later, schoolchildren start making crafts at labor lessons. After such an occupation, the corresponding homework often follows: to assemble an ikebana, make an application from the herbarium, make funny animals from plasticine and chestnuts, make a house of hundreds of matches, and so on.
Moreover, by default it is clear that the task is more for mom than for the child. Sometimes parents are taken by surprise: they somehow didn’t dry the leaves, they didn’t stock up on acorns and nutshells ... An interesting and unbanal way out of this situation is a basket with flowers from paper. And the materials are always at hand, and do not take too long. So, let's get down to needlework.
How to make a basket of paper?
Here is a list of what you will need. This, of course, paper: color or wrapping, newspapers or magazines. Even a basket of corrugated paper has the right to exist. In general, any that is at hand and which is not a pity. As well as glue, tape, scissors and cardboard.
First stage
So how to make a paper basket? At the first stage, approximately 50 strips with a length of 30 cm and a width of 4 cm should be cut. Then, each strip should be folded in half in width, the length should remain the same. Count 16 stripes.
Second phase
At the second stage, proceed to weaving. Lay out 8 of the 16 selected stripes horizontally and 8 vertically. Then, slowly, gently start weaving the bottom as shown in the figure. When it is ready, boldly, but carefully tackle the walls. Take the strip and weave it into the sides of the basket. So gradually weave all four sides.
Third stage
At the third stage, weaving the last strip, bend and glue the protruding ends of the strips inside the basket. Voila - it turned out a nice square basket!
Another manufacturing option
Now we’ll show you how to make a basket of round paper. Cut a circle out of cardboard - this will be the bottom. Make strips half a centimeter wide again. Using superglue, glue 12 strips to the bottom, placing them in the sun. Then take one strip of the remaining free and weave them between those that are glued. Do this until the glued strips have an edge of about 2.5 cm in length. Then fold the protruding parts of the strips inward and glue them well. The round basket is ready!
