Thomas Rhodah, and that was the name of the ambitious young man, was soon dressed in black clothes, because traditionally it was customary to wear this attire to the servants of wealthy gentlemen. The boy managed not only to work diligently, but also to receive knowledge at the university. In studies, he showed incredible abilities, and after a few years the wealthy masters began to see him as a friend rather than a servant. Much later, he received the nickname of a licensed Vidriere. When both the caballero and their faithful servant completed their studies, they did not part and lived together for a while. However, the inquisitive boy nevertheless decided to return to the city where he indulged in his favorite pastime, namely studying at the university. Once the hero met a courtesan known throughout Europe. She fell in love with an inquisitive young man, but he never wanted to visit her, because he was interested above all the books. And the insidious woman, as a punishment for neglect of her person, poisoned Thomas, who by that time had already managed to get the title of license holder of law.
The effect of the potion that the courtesan student drank with was a rather strange one. The licensee has lost his mind. It should be said that his madness had rather bizarre shapes: it seemed to him that it was made of glass.
Madness
For more than two years, the disease did not leave him. Throughout this time, he walked around the city and expressed publicly all that he thinks about the locals. His caustic reasoning has become quite popular. And the mad licensee Vidrierea (he invented such a name for himself) was constantly followed by a crowd of curious people. Sometimes he made such wise judgments that, if not for his amusing confidence that he was made of glass, he would be considered healthy.
Two years later, a licensed monk cured a licensee. And here is the paradox: after recovery, the city public lost all interest in him. The last words that the hero uttered, he turned to the big city, which destroys talented and smart people, but makes beggars and crazy with its darlings.
Deep knowledge was not useful to the licensee of law. He had no choice but to go to Flanders and gain military there instead of scientific glory.
