Boron branched is a grassy plant for open ground, which is naturally distributed in Kamchatka, Sakhalin, the Kuril Islands, Japan, North America. It has the following external characteristics:
- height varies from 60 cm to 1.5 m;
- leaves are long, up to 1.5 cm wide, slightly rough, green with a yellow tint;
- panicles with seeds are spreading, up to 20 cm long;

There are varieties of branchy boron that have light stripes on the leaves, adding to the culture of decorativeness.
In spring and early summer, when the plant forms a light lace from panicles with seeds similar to millet. It is often used to decorate flower beds as a supporting plant.
Growing conditions
Since the homeland of this cereal is cold regions, the climate for its growth must be temperate. Broad boron tolerates wintering well even at -20 degrees. Culture growth begins quickly, so already in mid-spring it has an attractive appearance. At the same time, with the onset of summer heat, the plant may look untidy, and when grown in the open sun, it will completely dry out.
The description of branched boron indicates that the plant prefers to grow in conditions of moderate humidity, therefore, periodic watering is recommended. At the same time, the water can be cool, and the watering itself should be carried out both from a garden hose and from a watering can. With the loss of external characteristics, a weighty boron can simply be trimmed to the root.
Combination with other plants
To create a unique flower garden, a mix of various plants is used, which complement each other favorably. Boron branchy in harmony with herbs of green or purple hue. At the same time, flowers can be used in almost any shade.
Successful combinations are considered with spring flowers - muscari, hyacinths, forget-me-nots, blue crests.
A beautiful contrast is obtained when planting boron next to flowers of light shades - primrose, hazel grouse, geranium, peonies. In landscape design, there is a combination of boron with rhododendrons, while the shrub is beautifully framed by herbs.
Plant propagation
There are several ways to propagate a grassy crop:
- By dividing the bush. In this case, the mother bush is divided into several parts and planted in the ground. Thus, it is convenient to control the number of plants on the site.
- The seeds. In this case, it is necessary to collect mature seeds, germinate them in a moist, warm environment, and then plant them in containers. After the seedlings reach a size of about 10 cm, they can be planted in open ground. When creating comfortable conditions for growth, there is the possibility of self-seeding. However, in a temperate climate, reproduction in this way is not aggressive, so the chance that the forest will flood the entire flower bed is small.

Self-propagation of the plant allows you to create an unusual pattern on the site, because a person is not able to control the place of entry and rooting of seeds. It is possible to prevent the self-sowing of boron boron by removing peduncles at the beginning of the formation of seeds, however, this procedure can take a lot of time if there are a lot of plants.
Application in traditional medicine
A herb is considered a medicinal plant, therefore, it is possible to harvest and use it in traditional medicine. Of interest are boron seeds, which are collected after complete ripening and dried, after which they must be separated from the panicle.
The seeds contain a large amount of magnesium, potassium, manganese, iron and protein. The plant has a diuretic property, so it is used for diseases of the genitourinary system. The beneficial substances that are present in the seeds normalize well-being, increase immunity. There are many recipes for traditional medicine, which are used for hypertension, kidney disease, infectious bowel diseases.

A photo of a branched boron demonstrates its attractive external characteristics, so flower beds decorated with this plant are not uncommon. In combination with colors of bright or light shades, it is possible to create unique compositions. In landscape design, combinations of boron with small spring flowers are often used, the peak of growth of which occurs in the spring, when the cereal appears in all its glory.
In this case, the plant is considered unpretentious and easily amenable to reproduction. Sometimes cereal seeds are successfully used in traditional medicine recipes.
