Silver is a soft metal, from which it is quite simple to create products of any complexity and different sizes. It is often mixed with copper to make it stronger. This means that 925 silver in one kilogram contains 925 grams of silver, and the rest is copper. Until the beginning of the twentieth century, there was a spool system.
