Home-made snakes can become participants in many children's games, taking on the role of the main villain, who is heroically defeated by a brave hero. They can also be a great decoration for the Christmas tree, replacing the garland.
In this article we will talk about those simple and quick ways to make a fun and interesting paper craft without spending a lot of time and energy.
Paper Chain Snake
You can make a snake out of paper with your own hands in literally fifteen minutes.
We will need:
- colored paper;
- scissors;
- ruler;
- pencil;
- glue.
Steps:
- Fold the sheet of paper in half lengthwise and draw it into equal strips 2-3 cm wide.
- Cut the paper along the lines received, as well as each strip in half along the fold of paper.
- Take any strip and glue it with a ringlet. Pass the second strip through this ring and also glue.
- Continue until the paper runs out or is bored.
- Cut out of paper and draw a muzzle, stick on one end of the chain. Glue a small triangle - tail from the opposite end.
Such a paper snake bends and rustles nicely.
Snake from toilet paper sleeves from rings
An economical, fast, environmentally friendly and original way to make a snake out of paper with your own hands is to use toilet paper or towel grommets.
We will need:
- Sleeves from toilet paper. The more there are, the longer our snake will come out. “Wash-off bushings” from Zewa toilet paper categorically do not fit. They simply dissolve under the influence of glue or paint.
- Serpentine or colored paper. You can not use ready-made paper, but paint the snake yourself with acrylics or felt-tip pens.
- Plastic eyes, which can also be easily replaced with homemade ones, use beads, buttons or any other suitable items.
- Thick woolen thread for connecting parts of the snake with each other. A piece of red yarn for the tongue.
- Scissors, hole punch or awl, glue, stationery knife.
Steps:
- Using a clerical knife, we cut the sleeves from the toilet paper across into 2 parts.
- We decorate the received elements of the snake as you please. We design the head of the snake by gluing gas and tongue.
- Using a hole punch or an awl, we make a hole from the two ends of each part of the snake except for the head and tail - there you need only one hole.
A paper and sleeve snake is ready!
Spiral of toilet paper bushes spiral
Another way to make a snake out of paper using bushings.
We will need:
- Sleeves from toilet paper. Here we remind once again that Zewa paper bushings are not suitable for crafts.
- Acrylic paints, felt-tip pens.
- Plastic eyes.
- Scissors;
- Glue.
Steps:
- Paint the sleeve with acrylic paints in any color you like. You can try to paint immediately and from the inside, but this is quite problematic, it is more convenient to paint the inside of the snake after cutting.
- Using scissors, cut the sleeve in a spiral.
- From one end we cut out a triangle, thereby forming a forked tongue.
- Color the snake with felt-tip pens as appropriate: dots, transverse stripes, zigzag - or all together.
- Glue the eyes.
We are sure that the process of making bright and funny snakes from paper will captivate not only your baby, but also you.
