Fields of application
Polymer-bitumen joint insulator is designed for sealing deformed sections of roads,
asphalt concrete pavement of airfield sites, arrangement of bridge structures, sealing sections of drainage systems.
The use of material for the implementation of the above tasks seems to be the most rational solution of all available options, since the hardened substance has the highest resistance to wear in a wide temperature range. Sealant "Izhora BP-G35" is excellent at operating under conditions of intense exposure to aggressive environmental factors. Material preparation
Before proceeding directly to the work on sealing cracks and joints, the material is cleaned from plastic and cardboard packaging. The solid mass is divided into several parts. Next, the sealant "Izhora BP-G35" is placed in the boiler, where it is heated to a working temperature of about 190 ° C.
Progress
Sealant "Izhora BP-G35" is applied as follows:
- To begin with, the foundation is prepared, the seams are cleaned from dirt, rust, scale, delamination, and other debris. In the presence of moisture, the treated surfaces are blown with air and dried.
- A primer (bitumen primer) is applied to the prepared substrate.
- The Izhora BP-G35 sealant, heated to operating temperature, is poured onto damaged areas using a specialized syringe.
- Seams are filled with hot material just above the upper edges, calculated on shrinkage during cooling.
- Movement on surfaces covered with sealant is allowed after it has completely cooled to ambient temperature. Only in this case can the substance lag and stick to shoes, wheels of vehicles, be avoided.
Often the consequence of the use of sealant is the formation of stable spills. To cope with the removal of the latter allows surface treatment with hot metal scrapers.
