High Elves are the oldest intelligent race of fantasy creatures in games with a different universe and setting. The most popular game worlds inhabited by elves are Skyrim, Warhammer, and WoW.

Over the years of their existence, the high elves have managed to achieve absolute purity of blood, which makes them a perfect race. There is even an opinion that they kill unclean babies. This to some extent explains the small size of this people in comparison with the rest.
Elves are dressed in special armor - elaborate, with beautiful finishes and inlaid with precious stones. On their weapons and clothes you can find metal decor in the form of wings.
Physical perfection and perfect blood makes them resistant and resilient to diseases and injuries: they rarely get sick and live long (about 300 years).

Altmers were originally located in Summerset, and then settled throughout Tamriel. It is believed that they were descendants of the elves, but where they came to these lands from is not known. It is also not known for certain which creatures inhabited Summerset before the arrival of the elves, and how they met them on their lands. Their possible existence is evidenced only by art paintings and sculptures that adorn the walls of the Crystal Tower. Most of the monsters depicted there are fiction of the artist, but most often it was the tall monsters with huge eyes that were destroyed by the elves many years ago.

In the wars of Ulthuan, the Azura always played a key role, since they were the lords of the waves and the commanders of warships.
Sailing elves dominate all sea lanes and enjoy authority even among their sworn enemies and adversaries. Not the last place they occupied in the trade and market relations of the islands with the outside world. They supplied precious metals and stones, wood and iron to the mainland.
Appearance
Outwardly, they are tall, beautiful and developed creatures. Due to their thin body and slim body, many mistakenly consider them weak warriors. In fact, this is one of the strongest and most stable races, only their power is manifested in agility and mobility, and not in physical advantage, as in orcs or trolls. An exception are the elves from Schreis. War and difficult living conditions tempered them, making them strong, hardy and large.
By tradition, these characters have pale skin and perfect facial features that are as close to human as possible.
Hair is the pride and main hallmark of every high elf. They are light, long, thick and silky. The color is ashen, light blond, golden, white or platinum. Dark color is extremely rare - only the White Lions elves have.
Elves are proud of their hair and never hide it under armor - even during battle they are loose, as they are the main military talisman of each of them. Curls cut off during the battle symbolize the defeat of the elf, therefore, for additional protection from the enemy sword, metal threads and silver crests inlaid with precious stones are woven into braids. Also, the high elf will never cut his hair - as a rule, they are always below the shoulders.

They build large cities and architectural masterpieces with the help of magic, and their houses and towers are always surrounded by green gardens, trees and flowers.
Relations with other races
For a long time, elves existed in isolation from the rest of the world, which helped them maintain their culture and develop their skills to perfection. The first they met upon sailing from the islands were the gnomes that inhabited the Old World. Together with them, they built houses and reliable ports off the coast, where they moored their merchant ships.
Unfortunately, the peace between these peoples did not last long: the dwarves were hardworking and silent, while the elves treated them arrogantly and with disdain, keeping aloof. A long war led to the fact that the Azuram had to leave the Old World and return to their native lands. Some of them remained to live in peace with the gnomes and became forest elves.
Another brother of Azurov is the dark elves, absorbed in hatred of other nations and of themselves. At the same time, it cannot be said that the Azores despise their kin - they are above this and do not stoop to malice and filth.
World of warcraft
In the game "Warcraft", the high elves are distinguished by their growth, slender body and beautiful face from the blood elves, whose appearance is bright and defiant (red or black hair, tanned skin and poisonous green eyes glowing in the dark). As a rule, the first wheat-colored hair, fair skin and large beautiful eyes of blue, gray, purple or blue. Green eyes are much less common. Their shape and color are not distinguished by a diabolical glow and a non-standard look: there is no radiance of the cornea and pupils are always visible.
Despite the fact that in culture and clothing, elves copy people, large communities have survived that protect their ancient customs and traditions. They prefer calm shades of blue, green and gray, avoid all red and black.

But despite deadly addiction, high elves never resort to draining magical energy or killing. The weakest and most dependent elves can use demonic magic or defilement, because of which they lose their former appearance and become bloody.
Character and relationship with other races
High elves are friendly and peaceful, but at the same time suffer from excessive pride and arrogance. Most of all they hate trolls, orcs and goblins, considering them inferior and near races, they ignore the night elves, and they despise the blood elves for using black magic.
However, the other races also do not like them and are cautious. The reason for this is the same dependence on magical energy that can push elves to filth. The described characters are friendly only to gnomes and people, however, these feelings are not mutual: the latter are often afraid of them and shunned.
History and Origin
At one time, the Caldorei night elves lived under the auspices of the Druids, in peace and harmony. Over time, the number of highly born individuals that fell before magical addiction grew. Their desire to access the solar well and again use the magic forbidden by the Druids led to constant skirmishes, and then completely turned into a serious confrontation.
It all started with the fact that the leader of the high elves publicly spoke out against the Druid overlords, accusing them of cowardice. This led to the need to suppress the rebellion, but the night elves and druids did not dare to kill a large number of high-born, so they simply expelled them from their lands.
It was then that the high elves were expelled - they moved on ships and left their home, moored at the first land they met. There they founded their new abode, but their peace did not last long: these lands belonged to the trolls, which caused a serious military confrontation. Elves needed outside support, so they turned to the human race for help. Together, the allies managed to defeat the orcs and create the first alliance.
Friendship with people left a strong imprint on both races: the elves taught the chosen people magic, and they borrowed traditions and customs from them.
Despite the victory, the elves suffered very much: during the war they lost a lot of their fellows, and some of those who survived succumbed to the influence of black magic and became blood elves. Therefore, now Kveltolass is not a place where it is easy to find a high elf. There are much more chances to meet them in cities such as Theramore or Dalaran.
