There are even witnesses who observed either the sharks themselves devouring their victims or the corpses mutilated by them. Historical documents dating back to the 18-19th centuries also recorded eyewitnesses who observed huge (āone hundred stepsā) eerie fish similar to sharks in the Caspian Sea.
