To remain bright and individual in the modern world - a world that presents us with the most unusual and original things every day - is becoming more and more difficult. However, everything is possible: the main thing in this matter is desire. Nothing other than fabric dye will help to become brighter.
There are two ways to stain things at home. Firstly, you can boil them in water, to which paint should first be added. The second option is to directly apply the dye to the thing that we decided to change, and then wait a while (which is usually indicated on the product’s packaging) to allow it to dry, soak and fix on the fabric. Just as with hair dye we transform our image, so dye for fabric will not only contribute to giving a new look to your worn clothes, but (with sufficient imagination) will make some things absolutely unique.
We all have old jeans. Naturally, we did not grow out of them, and they retained their shape, but the color became faded. Dye for fabric will make it more saturated and bright. Where to buy one, you ask. In fact, everything is not as complicated as it seems. You can go to a large fabric store. This product is sold in some departments of household chemicals. Almost certainly there is fabric paint in the shops for artists. In general, if you want to find something suitable, you will certainly succeed. Soviet (or post-Soviet) stores also have a great choice. And you can buy blue as well - a product that our mothers used to dye clothes, as well as something better and more expensive: "Dylon", for example.
Another option is a spray paint for the fabric. According to many manufacturers, this type of product is suitable for completely different types of fabric: from cotton to suede and velor. However, it is worthwhile to consult the seller in this regard. It is worth using paint from a spray can if you want to either completely change the color of your item, or make bright, but somewhat blurry spots on it. For a certain pattern, acrylic paints should be used.
Acrylic paints have a gouache consistency (sometimes a little thicker). They are matte and glossy. Ideal for t-shirts - after all, after drawing, they can be washed without worrying that the paint for the fabric will be erased or, even worse, blur. Of course, this applies to quality products, so you should give preference to recommended brands. Apply acrylic paints using special brushes, which, again, can be purchased at an art store. On the Internet you can find many hand-made ideas that will not only tell you in detail how to apply a pattern to the fabric, but also provide the opportunity to print stencils.
Remember that you can only dye a clean cloth. It doesn’t matter whether you wore the item before or just purchased it - you need to wash it thoroughly.
