In the summer, many residents of urban apartments rush to their Michurinsky plots. But for every trip to be useful, you should provide yourself with at least the most necessary minimum. And one of the most important elements is a garden toilet, which can hardly be done without.
Currently, there are a huge number of organizations and companies that can erect all kinds of structures on any land plot, including a similar essential item. But in this matter, you can not resort to their services, since you can make a garden toilet with your own hands. And this process does not take much time and effort.
First you need to prepare building materials and tools. From the last it is:
- a hacksaw;
- screwdriver;
- hammer;
- a shovel.
And from building materials:
- bars 50x50 and 100x50;
- plywood;
- lining or siding;
- self-tapping screws;
- nails;
- corrugated board.
Now you should start construction. And the first stage is planning and markup. The first step is to determine the location. Garden toilet is best equipped at a distance from the recreation area, in the far part of the site. When the location is determined, then marking is made, for example, with wedges. The boundaries of the structure and the cesspool should be indicated. On average, the dimensions of the toilet are 150 centimeters long and 100 centimeters wide.
When the marking is over, dig a cesspool. There are no strict restrictions on its size. But the best option would be a fairly deep hole. This is necessary in order to avoid frequent cleaning.
Garden toilet is a lightweight structure. Someone prefers to install it on the ground, but someone still builds the foundation. If there is no desire to tinker with the latter, then you can simply remove the upper soft layer of soil. If, on the contrary, the approach to business is thorough, then the foundation construction will be useful. It makes no sense to build a powerful base, it is enough to fill in four reinforced concrete pillars, which will be not only a reliable foundation for the entire structure, but also a horizontal alignment tool.
A very important stage is the installation of the frame. The main carriers are bars 100x50. They fit into the base. From them vertically mounted bars 50x50. The height of the structure from the side of the future entrance should be slightly larger than from the back side. This is necessary so that the toilet roof is at a slight angle to drain water during rain. The standard construction height is 210 centimeters. Therefore, the front of the frame should have a size of 230 centimeters, and the back - 210. To give rigidity, the vertical elements should be connected to each other by horizontal bars 50x50 every 50 centimeters.
When the frame is ready, you can begin to arrange the seat. You can, of course, just make a big hole in the floor, but a little comfort will not hurt. At a height of 50 centimeters from the floor along the back wall, you need to attach a second 50x50 bar so that it is inside the toilet. It should also be done with the side walls. But here the bars are 60 centimeters long. From them, the same elements should be mounted down to the floor. The last details of the seat frame will be two bars connecting the side parts to each other at floor level and 50 centimeters. The result was a design similar to a large step. Now you need to sheathe it with plywood, and also make a hole.
For interior decoration, you can also use this material. You just need to prepare pieces of the right size and fix them on the frame. If you are more attracted to wooden garden toilets, then the exterior finish can be done with a lining, which subsequently will need to be painted or varnished so that it does not deteriorate from moisture. But an easier option would be to use siding, which should be fixed on the frame.
When the walls are ready, you can close the roof with corrugated board. It remains only to make a door or curtain, after which the garden toilet will be completely ready for use.
