Replacing windows is always some kind of difficulty, but if at the same time the slopes are not patched up, then the entire opening looks messy. These works can be done independently. First of all, evaluate the entire opening. Here, its width, technical condition and partially the frame material are important. To make slopes for plastic windows with your own hands and without any problems, it is better to pre-stipulate installation on the frame of the start profile. It snaps to the profile before installation, and in the future greatly simplifies the work of closing slopes.
Slopes can be made from a sheet of gypsum, for narrow openings a plastic panel is suitable, but it is more convenient to use sandwich panels. The cheapest option is
plaster slopes on the windows with your own hands. The thickness of the applied plaster layer depends on the cleanliness of the opening. If the whole slope collapsed during the
dismantling of windows in the old foundation, then the time for performing plastering of the opening may increase, since several layers of plaster will have to be applied. And the cheap option will last for several days.
The use of giprock when closing an aperture allows to simplify some work. But this is also not the fastest option. To fix the giprock, it is necessary to initially make a crate of bars. Its configuration depends on the opening itself. Sometimes itβs enough to attach two or three horizontal bars to the wall. And on them already fix the prepared sheet. Performing gypsum slopes on the windows with your own hands, you should think in advance how to close up the joints of the frame and giprok. There will also be a question about the platbands to close the junction.
If the walls of the apartment are not very thick and the width of the opening does not exceed 250 mm, then plastic panels can be used. Their diversity allows you to perform any color slopes on the windows with your own hands. On small openings, you can fix the plastic on the construction foam. To do this, a cutout is made on two sides and top in the hardened foam and a plastic panel is inserted close to the frame.
The starting profile is also suitable, but it is convenient to fix it only on plastic windows. To insulate the opening and so that the panel does not bend in length, all the free space can be filled with foam. The junction with the wall is closed with a lintel or corner. This option of closing the opening is especially interesting when there are colored windows made of wood or plastic. The dark oak on the frame in combination with the light oak on the slopes and windowsill will create its own unique flavor.

Another suitable material that is often used for slopes is sandwich panels. They are convenient in that they already contain insulation inside the plastic. The thickness of such a panel is 10 mm. There is little choice in color, but the most commonly used sandwich panel is white. If you order a kit for terminating slopes, you get a start profile, the panel itself and clipboard clips. As a result, you can effortlessly repair the slopes on the windows with your own hands. But all these works can be obtained already in the finished version, if you order the installation of windows "turnkey".
On the street side, the opening is also desirable to put in order. Sometimes foam is visible. It must be protected from sunlight. This is usually done with
plastering or platbands. You can make window shutters with your own hands. Now rarely anyone uses these window elements. They are often replaced by blinds or shutters. But in the old days they were very in demand. Shutters are usually made of wood. Lamellas are inserted into a rectangular frame at an angle, leaving air gaps. When opening the shutters, the shutters open outward, without interfering with the opening of the windows.
