In the Sverdlovsk region, near the village of Didino, there is an old tunnel. Once there were trains. Didinsky received his name from the railway station of the same name with the village . Lovers of the urbanantripe - a new-fashioned youth stalker movement whose goal is to visit abandoned objects - have long been chosen by this place.
Didinsky tunnel. History
In ancient, tsarist times, the railway running through this passage connected two large cities - Kazan and Yekaterinburg. Later, under the Soviet regime, the Sverdlovsk-Druzhinino train went along this line, but only in one direction. Back the train went along another path, passing the underground corridor. Once the Didinsky tunnel, the photo of which is presented in the article, was an important strategic object. The territory adjacent to the construction was surrounded by a thorn, and the militarized security guarded day and night. In our time, there is nothing of this here, there is only complete desolation around and slightly noticeable traces of the presence of Soviet troops, who were on a round-the-clock watch to ensure the safety of railway communications. The stalkers visiting these places found here numerous echoes of their presence - dilapidated pillboxes, remains of beds and other objects.
Legends and traditions
This place was not without tragedies. According to eyewitnesses, after the Didinsky tunnel was opened, one of the construction managers committed suicide. They said that because of the wrong calculations of this man, gross mistakes were made ... And there is also a rumor among people that somewhere in the vicinity of the Didinsky tunnel in the earth lie the innumerable treasures of Admiral Kolchak, which he tried to hide from the Bolsheviks. His echelons, while retreating to Siberia, passed along this very path.
The Tale of Our Time
Everything here is literally riddled with mystical mystery. Both entrances to the Didinsky tunnel, covered with rare vegetation, are very reminiscent of the outlines of the towers of an ancient fortress. The portals forming the entrance group are very beautiful. When looking at them, you might think that you are in some kind of fabulous, unreal kingdom inhabited by elves.
The length of the tunnel is 1123 meters. According to some archival data, it was punched from two sides at the same time, but due to a designer error they were not connected at the right point. For this reason, the stone corridor is slightly curved, but the opposite entrance is still clearly visible through it.
Stalker paradise
The movement along the underpass began in 1918 and continued until December 1995. After a detour was built away from the tunnel, the trains stopped grooming through it. The facility has a very sophisticated sewage disposal system. Nowadays, it is very dilapidated and practically ceased to fulfill its functions. Therefore, inside the corridor in the warm season there is always a lot of water and smooth, as if polished ice. The area in front of the tunnel, if it does not rain, is always dry, and under its arches there is icy cold at any time of the year, and icicles hang from the ceiling. Stalkers strongly recommend visiting this place in good rubber boots so as not to get your feet wet. In the center of the structure there is a ventilation shaft with a depth of a little more than 50 m. Numerous niches in the walls of the corridor serve so that when the train approaches, you can hide and wait. Due to severe dilapidation and a large amount of water, the Didinsky tunnel is recognized as an emergency hazardous facility. Being on its territory can lead to unpleasant, even tragic consequences for health and life. There is a danger of falling into deep, uncovered wells or getting hit by a stone rolling down from above. Care must be taken to avoid injuries and not to hurt. For fans of extreme sports, there is the possibility of descent into the wells, which are located nearby, and inspection of drainage branches.

At present, the Didinsky tunnel has been cleared of all railway tracks. The fact that here once lay sleepers and rails, only the remnants of the embankment remind. From the
metal gratings, at one time closing the entrances to the dungeon, nothing was left either. Therefore, with penetration no problems arise.
