- Resolving the issue of distrust / trust in the Government. The State Duma of the Russian Federation may decide that the executive branch in the country causes distrust. If this is confirmed by a majority vote, the Government will be dissolved.
- Amnesty Announcement. The powers of the State Duma also extend to this sphere; in all of history, such a decision has been made more than 10 times, the most recent of which took place 10 years ago.
- Appointment of certain officers. The State Duma has the right to appoint the chairmen of the Accounts Chamber and the Central Bank of Russia, as well as the human rights ombudsman. The former are appointed after the recommendation, and the latter on the basis of a rating vote.
