Does your child have a matinee soon or have you been invited to a costume party, but there is no idea for an image? A good option is an angel, a costume appropriate for any event, which is not at all difficult to do with your own hands. This is a bright and positive image that will suit everyone. All the necessary elements of the outfit can be made from improvised materials that can be found in any home.
Angel outfit
For a female angel costume, the easiest way is to take a finished white dress or sundress. An outfit of light cream or golden color is also suitable. The dress can be solemnly festive or, on the contrary, as simple and modest as possible. If nothing suitable was found in your wardrobe, you can make a white tulle skirt-pack and combine it with a light top. To make the bottom of the outfit, simply fold a piece of fabric in several rows and sew an elastic band. An alternative is to tie thin strips of tulle or similar mesh fabric on an elastic band sewn around the waist. A simple shirt dress that looks like an angel outfit can be sewn on your own, based on a T-shaped pattern with a neckline for the head.

The basis for them can be made in one of two ways: bend the desired shape from the wire and cover with white capron, or cut it out of cardboard. Do not forget to attach the elastic bands, thanks to which the wings can be worn like a backpack. Now you can go to the decor. You can make an angel costume with your own hands from improvised materials, it is very good if you have a boa, separate feathers or white fur. You can also decorate the wings with volumetric braid or homemade fringe from chopped noodles of translucent fabric. An alternative is to simply paint the wings with paints, sparkles, add rhinestones, or you can lay out some kind of ornament from them.
DIY a halo
An important detail of the image is the decoration for the hairstyle. How to make an angel costume with a nimbus with your own hands? It's simple: the same wire will come to the rescue. Form a ring of suitable size from it and leave the base-mount. It is better to use a silver color wire. Wrap the halo itself with a white boa, tinsel or a light ribbon. Decoration can be fixed directly in the hairstyle. It is also convenient to attach the halo to the hair band. If you do not want this detail to be lost during the holiday, do it in advance and ask the child to vilify during the evening. Is an angel a girls-only costume?
Most often in the image of angelic creatures we imagine either pot-bellied babies like Cupid or female representatives with blond hair. Is this image suitable for boys and men? And why, in fact, not?
As basic clothing, it is better to take a light classic suit or separately trousers and a light turtleneck / shirt. It remains only to put on wings and a halo. The angel is a universal suit, because according to some versions, heavenly creatures do not have sex at all. Do not forget to choose light shoes and refuse at all from dark or color accessories.
