The best pastime is the cultivation of any earth crops. Whether it is a garden or a vegetable garden, in spring, summer and autumn only it occupies the heads of gardeners. As they say, with age a person is more and more attracted to the earth, and this is true, because it is difficult to find someone older than forty years without the desire to plant at least an indoor plant.
Apple orchard will be a favorite place to relax and a good idea for a business without major investments. But still, you need to properly plant it and spend time caring for trees and soil.
Apple tree placement methods
When planting trees, you need to not only mindlessly plant seedlings in a chaotic manner, but also take into account weather conditions, the variety of apple trees, the type of soil and the terrain. There are several types of tree planting:
- a rectangle;
- staggered;
- stripe;
- contour.
There are different types of apple trees by ripening time, for example, if it is an early apple tree, then it will bear fruit from 10.06 to 01.07, if it is a summer apple tree, then from 01.07 to 10.08, late or autumn varieties give fruit from 10.08 to 10.09, and, finally, winter apples can be harvested from 10.09 to 20.10.
Before planting, you need to mark the places where the trees will be. Each of them needs space. The distance between the trees should not be less than 4-5 m to the buildings and outbuildings, and also not less than 5-6 m between the rows. It is good if, when placing, the apple orchard is combined with a shrub, for example, currant or gooseberry. Thanks to this solution, you can increase the density of planting, and leave enough space for each tree.
Landing Features
You can plant an apple orchard both in spring and in autumn. Pits for seedlings should be done 15 days before planting. The dimensions of the pit: depth - 50 cm, width and length - 70-80 cm. During the survival of seedlings every 20-25 days, you need to water with a little loosening of the earth, 2-3 watering is enough.

Even on a regular plot of 6 acres of land, such a garden will become a real decoration, and spring flowering and smells will drive you crazy. You can use any trees in it: pears, apples, cherries and cherries, apricots, peaches. And any berry bushes: raspberries, black and red currants, blueberries, gooseberries.
It is worth choosing trees and shrubs with different ripening periods, then the fruits will delight all year round. This is especially true for those who plant a garden for business and are going to sell fruits and berries.

In addition, there you can meet people with similar interests and gather the necessary information from them on the placement and care of trees.
Apple orchard - is a profitable business?
If you decide to go in for the horticultural business, then you did the right thing. And itβs best to start with apples, because they give a big harvest. Apple orchard does not require long-term investments. Having spent the money for the first time, for example, in 2016, and having purchased different varieties of apples, in a year it will be possible to remove 10 apples from each tree, by 2018 you will have 20 t / ha of apples, and in another year this figure will increase almost doubled.
When choosing a garden in which different fruit trees will grow, you need to consider that the yield of apricots and pears is less, however, the fruits are more expensive. But at the same time they are more capricious, they need to be kept in a special place and properly transported.
The larger the garden, the greater the profit from it, because in this case apples and other fruits can not be sold on your own, but you can conclude contracts and take them for industrial processing (the easiest way), as well as a part to stock and sell in the winter before the New Year.
