Studying at the gymnasium
At the age of eleven, Nikolai, together with his older brother, was sent to Yaroslavl to the gymnasium. At first, Nekrasov sat in the forefront among the best students. But soon success had to be forgotten. The boy did not like the cramming and routine that prevailed in the gymnasium. In addition, the uncle assigned to the barchuk was completely not involved in their upbringing, and for months they could not appear in the classroom. But Nikolay immediately became the soul of the company.
It's no secret that the childhood of Nekrasov Nikolai Alekseevich passed next to the peasant children. He made a loophole in a wooden fence through which he got out of the garden and ran to his friends. By the way, he already spoke with many of them as a young man when he came to Greshnevo from St. Petersburg. And now at breaks, he gathered around himself high school students and began to tell stories about his life in the village. M. Goroshkov, who studied with Nekrasov, recalled that even then all the statements of the future poet were about the people.
Apprenticeship Time
Everyone knows the poet Nekrasov, but few know that after the unsuccessful publication of the first collection of poems, “Dreams and Sounds,” Nikolai Alekseevich wrote many stories and short stories published in Literaturnaya Gazeta and Pantheon. The majority of them were based on the St. Petersburg ordeals of young men, which at that time evoked a lively response among the raznochintsy. Soon the premiere of the performance at the Alexandria Theater was held. The first was followed by three more vaudeville. And although they were successful, after the 45th year, the poet Nekrasov for several years completely abandoned this genre. The last dramatic work of Nikolai Alekseevich was the unfinished "Bear Hunt" (1867).
Love triangle
The personal life of Nikolai Alekseevich Nekrasov for many years turned out to be connected with the Panayev family. The couple was not very happy in the marriage, and Avdotya Yakovlevna was always successful in the world. The aspiring poet and editor of Sovremennik has long sought the attention of a beautiful woman. Finally, Avdotya Yakovlevna answered Nikolai Alekseevich in kind, most likely in 1847. For sixteen years they lived in a civil marriage - the Panayevs did not issue a divorce - which caused a lot of gossip. There were many happy moments in the relationship between Nekrasov and Panaeva, as evidenced by the love lyrics of the writer himself. However, due to the difficult nature and pathological jealousy of Nikolai Alekseevich, to which a serious illness was later added, quarrels arose between them, which heated up to the limit by the 55th year. And although in the following years Nekrasov and Panaev still lived together, there was no previous understanding between them. The final break occurred in 1863.
Children of Nekrasov
Nikolai Alekseevich always attracted the children of peasants. Arriving in Greshnevo, he was very fond of watching their game and communication. However, the poet was not lucky with his children . The first child of Nekrasov and Panaeva died in the 49th a few hours after birth. The second son, Ivan, lived for four months. His death was one of the reasons for the deterioration of relations between the poet and his lover in the 55th year.
Romance together

In the 48th year, when the reaction intensified in the country, and Sovremennik was on the verge of closure, Nikolai Alekseevich invited Avdotya Yakovlevna to write a novel together. However, the co-authors determined the idea of the work, sketched the plot, and the work really came into being. For several months of 48-49 it was published in Sovremennik, which solved the problem with its filling.
The second work, Dead Lake, turned out to be less successful - the poet almost did not take part in its creation - a lot of employment in the magazine practically did not leave free time.
Passion for cards
The Nekrasov family was old, but impoverished. Once in a conversation, father cited interesting facts from life. Nekrasov, as it turned out, was not accidentally drawn to cards. The great-great-great-grandfather of Nikolai Alekseevich lost seven thousand serfs, his great-great-grandfather - two, his grandfather - one. And the father of the poet has almost no state left. So the passion for the game became the reason that the once rich family lost their well-being.
For Nikolai Alekseevich, it all began in 1854, when he and Panaev became members of the English Club. Since that time, the poet often spent evenings at a table covered with green cloth. People who played with Nikolai Alekseevich noted that he never lost his temper and composure. He always weighed his chances and was able to stop at the right time. Probably because his business was much better than his ancestors - he won quite large sums. The money received went to ensure a decent standard of living, to help relatives, including father, and employees of Sovremennik.
Dog hunting
Interesting facts from the life of Nekrasov are related to hunting. This was one of his father's favorite pastimes, and the boy wandered along with him in forests and fields as a child. A real passion for dog hunting was awakened after the first trip of Nikolai Alekseevich to his native Greshnevo. The poet’s acquaintances said that his St. Petersburg apartment was a real repository of guns and trophies, the main of which were stuffed dipper with two cubs. The hunt of Nikolai Alekseevich in Greshnev, and later in the estate he bought Karabikha every time turned into a real holiday. It is easy to imagine how wide the scope was on that memorable day when the poet managed to get three bears at once.
The addiction to hunting ended unexpectedly. Once, Thekla Viktorova, named Zinaida, accidentally shot Nikolai Alekseevich's beloved dog, Kado. To the words that he would probably never forgive her, the poet replied: “You did this not on purpose. And somewhere around every day people are specially killed. ” Returning home, the poet hung his gun and no longer touched it. And on the grave of his beloved Kado Nikolai Alekseevich installed a granite slab.
Zinaida Nikolaevna Nekrasova
Serious, long-term relationship with the poet developed with three women. But only one of them became his official wife. This was a twenty-three-year-old simple girl whom Nekrasov met in 1870. Nikolai Alekseevich did not like her name, Thekla, and he began to call her Zinaida, at the same time replacing her middle name: Anisimovna with Nikolaevna. Nekrasov taught her grammar, French, music. The girl fell in love with horse riding and hunting, and often made the company with the poet.
Being already seriously ill, the poet invited her to get married, which caused the anger of all his relatives. By the way, they did not accept Zinaida, and after the death of Nikolai Alekseevich, along with the property, they also took away the right to Nekrasov's “Last Songs” belonging to her.
The wedding took place at home in April of the 77th year, a few months before the death of the poet.
