Mazarini tomato - from the garden to the table

Tight poured tomato fruits ... Their amazing taste and aroma, juice draining on the fingers and unforgettable feelings of happiness and sweetness in the mouth from childhood. In my environment I did not meet people who would not like tomatoes in general, in any form: from the garden, canned, grated in juice or in various salads and snacks.

Sweet yellow varieties ... or roundish, regular shape and beautiful red fruits with acidity ... hard, elongated, small in size and ideal for spinning tomatoes of an amazing shade: as if they mixed bright sunny red color and added cold blue of a frosty morning.

Ode to tomatoes can be sung endlessly. For the benefit, for the amazing taste, for the vivid childhood memories, for the pleasure and pleasure of seeing how your work is rewarded with weighty clusters sprawling on bushes. But labor in every fruit, every tomato invested oh how much.

In the past few years, many forum users have frankly recognized Mazarini tomatoes in the top ten favorite and favorite varieties. And they advise to try to plant these tomatoes and neighbors, and just friends. I propose to understand why and why this variety is popular, how and when to plant it, and what should come of it.

On the label with the seeds of the “Variety of Mazarini” there is a beautiful tomato of a rich raspberry color that is very similar in shape to a strawberry, only many times more. Suppliers offer to plant this tomato both in open ground and in greenhouses.

The tomato variety Mazarin belongs to the indeterminate (standard) type. Those. this bush, growing, expels many side branches, called stepsons. These stepsons must be broken off, thus forming one, less often two or three main trunks, on which clusters of tomatoes will then form.

The variety has a bright taste, the fruits of the first (lowest) brush reach 700-800 grams, the fruits of the upper brushes are smaller, stretch 300-400 gr. The pulp of tomato Mazarini is sugary, juicy, tastes good. There are few seeds in comparison with other varieties in the tomato itself.

To obtain the best organoleptic properties, it is better to act according to the recommendations of packaging companies and plant this variety in open ground in southern Russia, and in greenhouses in the middle lane.

There is no consensus among all the vegetable growers who planted these tomatoes. Some of them unequivocally placed Mazarini tomato in their favorite, selected and planted varieties every year, while others, for various reasons, are not very satisfied with the taste of the tomato and the strength of the skin.

But almost all gardeners agree on one thing, the variety is really resistant to various diseases caused by late blight. Another plus: this variety belongs to the largest early varieties, and if the bushes are not planted tightly (about three bushes per square meter), and leave one, and with good top dressing two (rarely three) main stems, then the fruits really turn out to be large and juicy.

The variety tolerates heat well: 40-degree heat does not affect the yield of bushes.

Bush of tomato Mazarini in the greenhouse reaches almost two meters, in the open ground - about one and a half meters. It is better to leave no more than 4 bunches on the trunk, otherwise the tomatoes will not be as large as stated.

Seeds are planted in prepared soil usually in late February - mid-March. In a month you will already see four beautiful green leaves. Mazarini leaves are very similar to carrot: narrow and elongated. Seedlings ready for planting in the soil look like a small bush with strong full leaves.

The golden rule of the gardener: do not plant seedlings in the ground if you are not sure that frost will not follow the warm days, otherwise the fruits of your labors will turn black and die. After about 110-115 days from the time of emergence of seedlings on adult bushes planted in the ground or greenhouse, the fruits will begin to ripen.

Mazarini tomato is perfect for salads. So a couple of these bright, ripe, with a shiny peel and fragrant pulp of vegetables can completely feed the whole family. Bon Appetit!
