Phuket attractions or how to see the exotic

Phuket is an amazing place where the clean beaches and clear waters of the sea give tourists an unforgettable vacation. Natural landscapes filled with dense jungle, beautiful waterfalls, wild animals and plants of unprecedented beauty - all this can be found on the island. However, there are other attractions that are highly valued by visitors.

The following are a few places to visit when spending your holidays on the island.

First of all, it is worth visiting the observation deck of Kata Karon, from which you can admire breathtaking views of several beaches and the island of Pu. The vastness that opens up to the eyes is indescribable, the horizon line smoothly intertwines with the sea surface and merges together.

There are other sites, for example, at Promtep Cape beyond the Yanui beach. They are also worthy of the attention of tourists, but it is better to return to them later and first visit more interesting places. So, for example, the Ton Pray waterfall will be more interesting for nature lovers. Water does not fall from a steep cliff, but rushes down from a height of 25 meters with a powerful stream.

Undoubtedly, the main attractions of Phuket include not only viewing platforms and farms with zoos, but also a huge number of Buddhist temples and architectural antiquities located throughout the island.

Excursions from Phuket

The first to this list is the temple of Wat Sirey, considered the most amazing and incomprehensible for a European tourist. It is located on a separate island of Ko Sirei, connected to Phuket by a bridge. The Buddha statue here is in a supine position.

Even in the list of temples you can add Pra Nang Sang - a beautiful and unusual place. On its territory there is a large pond with fish, a school and the largest tin Buddha statue.

In the sights of Phuket, you can make its markets, which operate not only during the day, but also at night. This is very convenient, because until the evening tourists usually travel to various temples and museums, sunbathe on the beaches, and after the sun has disappeared and the street has become a little more comfortable, they go shopping.

By the way, there are enough museums and parks to spend on them several days of their vacation. These include a butterfly garden, a place of incredible beauty, the Royal Garden, an amazing creation of human hands, and the Tai Hua Museum, which opened not so long ago. Here is a life story of Chinese settlers who came to the island in the last century. After that, it becomes clear why there are so many Chinese names on the streets of Phuket.

Phuket Tours

Phuket attractions do not end there. There are several places outside the island where you have to get a few hours.

For example, the Temple of the Seated Monk or, as the Thais call this place, Mani Si Mahatat. Many excursions in Phuket include visiting it. The temple complex itself is located half an hour north of the island. A visit to these places can be considered mandatory and boldly enter it into your diary.

Well, of course, if the island has already been explored, and vacation still allows you to spend a day or two away from the hotel, then the very first thing that should appear in the plans of tourists is the Similan Islands. There you can book excursions from Phuket. They are not too cheap, but the trip is worth it.
