Metro Planernaya - station of the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line of the Moscow metro. So far, it is considered final, but everything can change in the future, since Moscow is constantly expanding, the scope of construction work is huge, our government is concentrating all its efforts on improving transport lines both on the ground and under it. And what will be its scale, for example, thirty years from now, it remains only to speculate. This station is located in the North-Western Administrative District, namely in the Northern Tushino area. For passengers, it opened on December 30, 1975. At that time, the country was led by L.I. Brezhnev, and the Soviet Union had no problems so far. Then they could not even imagine that after some twenty years the USSR would collapse.
The architect of this station is M.L. Trenin. The design engineer was T.A. Zharova. At the Planernaya metro station, a total of twenty-six columns are located, evenly divided into two rows. The step of the columns is 6 meters. The name Planernaya metro was received from the street of the same name, under which the station is located, and Planernaya street itself got its name from the Central Aero Club of the USSR. The club has a respectable age - it was opened in 1935, and is now called the Chkalov National Aero Club. They are engaged in gliding.
For a long time, there were disputes about the pronunciation of the name (according to all the rules of the Russian language, the station should have been called Glider - from the word glider), but in the end, since the street is called Glider, the metro station was called the same. Planernaya station is located at a very shallow depth - only six meters - and belongs to the group of stations with shallow laying. It has one platform.
If you leave the city from the Planernaya metro station, you can get to Planernaya Street, to the streets of Heroes-Panfilovtsev, Vitsis Latsis, Fomicheva and Svobody.
The station lobby is oval. The hall’s stylistic decoration uses natural materials, mostly light marble with a touch of ivory. The track walls of the Planernaya metro station are decorated with a beautiful geometric ornament that resembles the “Penrose mosaic” of multi-colored marble. The columns, located on both sides of the hall, are made of white marble, and the floor is covered with absolutely black granite. This sharp contrast of white and black looks very impressive, because from time immemorial the combination of these two colors is considered one of the most stylish and belongs to the category of classic combinations. Thanks to such a simple but elegant design, the Planernaya metro station is original and interesting.
Glider is a very beautiful metro station in Moscow, which was opened almost thirty-eight years ago and has never changed its name, although in 1992 they wanted to rename it Brattsevo metro. Until now, the station looks very good, here nothing gives out traces of the old building. I go there infrequently, but I remember how I had to call in this area last year, and when I saw this station for the first time, I was amazed at the beauty and simplicity of Glider.
