If you want, you can leave them to die both. In this case, you have to stomp into Riverwood alone. So it’s better to save someone.
Russian or English
It seems that everything is going very well - there is a mod, there are alternative beginnings too, but there are several versions of the game. Not so long ago, "Alternative Start" worked only on English versions. But with the advent of Steam, the mod became available for Skyrim in Russian. She, like all developing computer toys, is regularly updated.
Unfortunately, the Russian version of the mod has a number of problems and bugs. They work on them, but it is impossible to eliminate everything at once. So, for example, if you start a game in which you initially already have a house, you will not be offered to immediately become a tang in the city. Or you still have to look at Alduin's first attack before your training begins as a fighter in the Companions ranks.
