Who to get the quest from?
You can get a task to study abnormal activity from the scientist Herman. It turns out that scientists' instruments recorded a strange anomaly near the bunker - near the old cooling tower. We need an experienced stalker who agrees to go there and collect more information about her. True, this can only be done with a special improved detector.
The task can be taken after the quest “Anomaly Research” was completed - escorting a group of stalkers who installed the necessary equipment near five major anomalies.
Looking for an improved detector
To complete the quest "Abnormal activity" - to explore the area with the improved detector "Svarog" - you must first find it. And to do this is not so simple, if you do not know where to look.
Fortunately, there are several ways to get a detector.
If you are carrying out the gang task “Dark Business”, the detector can be taken from Grebnya and Kuvalda, quest stalkers.
After completing several quests for scientists, Degtyarev receives the achievement "Researcher", after which the detector "Svarog" appears on sale at Herman.
If Poplar survives as a result of the Study of Anomalies, and his squad becomes the Iskra research group, the device can be purchased from him.
Finally, the most interesting way to get the device is to take the task from Sych to search for three detectors and transfer them to scientists. Having given them to Novikov, who works in the bunker, having recovered to Zaton and having waited half a day, you can visit Skadovsk, wait until the quarrel ends, and get the desired detector.
We carry out the task
Now that Major Degtyarev has the desired device, you can explore the area with an improved detector - abnormal activity has not disappeared.
We are arming ourselves with Svarog, we are heading to the cooling tower located north of the Yanov. Approaching her, Degtyarev begins to pick up signals coming from as if from nowhere - someone begs for help. We go up to the cooling tower and get the detector. Almost immediately we see a transparent bubble hanging in the air with a flickering surface. Now you need to get as close as possible (the main thing is not to fall down) and wait a few seconds. The sphere flickers, and then simply bursts, and several corpses in suits of loyal people pour out from it, and with them a bunch of weapons and a single first-aid kit.
We collect weapons and search the corpses. We don’t find anything interesting. The exception is the body of General Tachenko - the real founder of the powerful Debt group. We find a PDA with a dying record. From it you can learn that the general’s detachment fell into a spatial anomaly.
After spending several days in it, one of the fighters went crazy, shot several others and committed suicide. Tachenko, having made the last record, also shot himself.
Remuneration
A certain reward for the quest of the game "Call of Pripyat" - "Abnormal activity" is not provided. However, the PDA is already a great bonus, not to mention the well-preserved machines that can be profitably sold.
The found PDA can be sold to Owl in Skadovsk, Shulga or Loki on Yanov. From this decision depends on what achievement the player will receive, as well as the size of the reward and, to some extent, the further game - various phrases related to the death of Tachenko and his subordinates can be heard from different characters.
