The future researcher was born in 1948 in the USA, in the city of Schenectady. Michael has Italian roots. His father, Salvatore Cremo, was the son of an emigrant from Sicily. Salvatore worked as a military pilot and immediately after graduating from the military academy he became participants in the Second World War. After that, he served in one of the intelligence units of the US Air Force. Because of his work, Salvatore often moved with his family from place to place. It is for this reason that young Michael spent most of his childhood traveling in Europe.
From an early age, Cremo Michael dreamed of becoming a writer. During his travels, he kept a diary in which he wrote down his impressions of the trips. In addition, he composed poems and even tried to write his own autobiography. At this time, Michael woke up a huge interest in Eastern culture and philosophy. In 1965, Cremo met a group of young people who managed to travel to India and back by land. Inspired by the tales of the eastern country, Michael decided at the first opportunity to visit this amazing land.
In 1966, Cremo Michael graduated from high school and received a scholarship to study at George Washington University. There he studied Russian and international relations. Michael was completely absorbed in his studies; nevertheless, he continued to be interested in Indian culture and Eastern philosophy.
In the summer of 1968, Michael went on a trip. Initially, he visited Europe, after which he went by land to India. Nevertheless, he failed to finish his journey. Having reached Tehran, he abandoned his venture and returned back to the United States.

Once Cremo met the Hare Krishnas whose culture attracted a young writer. It was for this reason that Michael worked as an author and editor at the official Hare Krish publishing house during the 70s and 80s. The books he edited and wrote were translated and distributed around the world.
Since 1990, Michael has been actively working on his own series of books. The work was designed both for ordinary people and for scientists and academics. The first iconic work that Michael Cremo wrote was The Unknown History of Mankind. This work had a resonance and became a real bestseller. Why is that? Everything is pretty simple. Cremo defied the theory of evolution that was developed by Darwin. As the main argument, Michael put forward the fact that people have lived on Earth for millions of years. To confirm his opinion, Cremo Michael gave information about the finds, which, in his opinion, are hidden by the scientific community. After all, these artifacts in no way fit into the standard representations of Darwinists.
In 2006, a sequel comes out entitled "Human Evolution." Michael Cremo in this work develops his Vedic theory. The researcher again compares archaeological finds with the Vedic scriptures.

Many scholars point out that Cremo’s hypotheses without any problems can be found in a simple evolutionary explanation, without resorting to creationism. In addition, many were embarrassed by the fact that in the “Unknown History of Mankind,” Cremo often resorts to anti-scientific phenomena like reincarnation, healing by faith, extrasensory perception, and so on.
