A lot of things can be made of beads: jewelry, crafts, decor elements, handbags, flowers and so on. We offer you several workshops explaining how to make Christmas toys from beads that will sparkle under the light of a garland and will not break after time.
Snowflakes like Christmas toys made from beads.
Snowflake making workshop:
- You will need a fishing line, tweezers, two types of beads (one larger, the other smaller) and a lace, on which the craft will be hung (picture 1).
- String five smaller beads on the wire, thread one end of the wire into the last one to make a loop (picture 2).
- Next, string on one side a large bead and five small ones, and then another large one. Pass the other end of the wire through the last bead to form another loop (picture 3).
- Similarly, make another loop, only now you do not need to put on a large bead first (picture 4).
- When you already have five large stitches, it remains to do one more. To do this, string three beads on one end of the wire, and two on the other. After that, draw the second end through the third bead on the first wire and tighten the loop (picture 5).
- Make three rings of four small beads, as in picture 6.
- Now pass the ends of the wire through the side beads so that they come out on the second ring (picture 7).
- String three beads on each side and pass through the one from which the fishing line comes out (picture 8).
- Lower the wire through the beads down (picture 9).
- Bring out the wire in the middle of the adjacent petal (picture 10).
- Make on top of each petal-eyelet, as described in paragraphs 6-10 (picture 11).
- Pass a string or ribbon (picture 12).

Christmas wreath
You can make very beautiful Christmas tree toys from beads in the shape of Christmas wreaths. They are made quite simply:
- Prepare a piece of wire, green beads (preferably elongated or just large), smaller red beads and one large bead of silver or gold.
- Make a circle out of wire. Wind one end around the other, and make the tail of the second bigger (Figure 1).
- Wind another wire closer to the tail of the ring (Figure 2).
- String a green bead onto the extra wire (Figure 3).
- Press the bead firmly against the ring (Figure 4).
- Wrap the wire around the ring so that the tail is at the back (Figure 5).
- String another green bead (Figure 6).
- String a lot of green beads by constantly wrapping the wire around the ring. As a result, your entire circle should be covered with beads (Figure 7).
- Then wind the remaining wire around the ponytail once (Figure 8).
- String a red bead onto the wire (Figure 9).
- String a few more red beads and make a loop (Figure 10).
- Make another red eyelet on the right side. Then wrap the wire around the ring and string the last green bead (Figure 11).
- Fasten the end of the wire so that the beads do not open.

Decorate the Christmas ball with beads
You can still not make whole crafts from beads, but simply use them to update old, bored and beautiful looking Christmas toys. From beads for beginners, a master class on making an openwork ball cape is suitable.
Operating procedure:
- Take beads in two different shades of about the same size and a few larger beads. You will also need beadwork materials and a Christmas ball.
- Make a ring of small beads of different colors. You can alternate colors arbitrarily. For example, six green beads and one white, and so several more times. The ring should cover the top of the Christmas ball.
- Tie a knot and pass one end of the wire through several beads (Figure 1).
- String the beads in random order by color and size on the wire that has been removed and make a ringlet by passing the line through the first bead with a chain (Figure 2). The height of the new ring should equal the size of the ball.
- Pass the line through another part of the beads (Figure 3).
- String a little less beads on the wire than the previous time (Figure 4).
- Pass the line through a pair of side beads of the adjacent ring (Figure 5).
- String some beads and pass the line through the first bead in the chain (Figure 6). As a result, you got a petal.
- Make a few more of the same petals along the entire diameter of the first ring (Figure 7).
- Bring out the working end of the line through one side of the last lobe (Figure 8).
- Put the craft on the ball and string the beads on the working end of the fishing line, duplicating the color order of the first ring (Figure 9).
- Pass the line through the bottom beads of the petals (Figure 10).
- As a result, you should get a ring that passes through one bead of each petal (Figure 11).
- Tie a knot on the fishing line.
The updated Christmas toy from beads is ready!
Other ornaments for balls
You can make absolutely any bead ornaments. First, be sure to make the first ring, and then, in random order, string beads of different sizes and colors, weave chains and rings together, make pendants from the bottom, and so on. As a basis, you can use patterns for weaving bracelets and necklaces.
Santa Claus from beads
How to make a Christmas toy from beads in the form of Santa Claus? The procedure is as follows:
- Take the beads of red, black, white and beige.
- In the middle of a long wire string eight black beads, and between them one white.
- Then string the same number of beads again and pass the second end of the wire through them.
- You got two rows of beads.
- Similarly do all subsequent rows. That is, on one end string the beads in the desired color sequence, and then pass the second edge of the fishing line through them.
- You can choose the color of the beads and the order of stringing, for example, as in the picture above. The main thing is that in the end you get Santa Claus.
- Tie a knot at the very top and make a loop in which you need to thread a ribbon so that the craft can be hung on a Christmas tree.
Herringbone spring
Such a Christmas tree can be made very easily, but it turns out an original Christmas tree toy. Just take a thick wire and twist it into a spiral. Then straighten the wire, as in the picture above, and string green beads. You can hang a large bead on the bottom, and tie a small bow on top. Make a hook for which the Christmas tree toy from beads will be put on the Christmas tree.
