Construction
A house of 8x8 timber begins to be built, like all buildings, with the construction of the foundation. Most often, this is a strip foundation made of concrete with a depth of up to 70 cm. This choice is due to the relatively low weight of wooden beams. A waterproofing layer is laid on top of the foundation so that the bars do not absorb moisture from the concrete. The lowermost crown is made wider, since it will hold the weight of the walls and the roof. Next, the construction is erected with the help of pegs (pins). In the case of a profiled beam, simply connect the grooves.
In the first row are mounted logs for laying the floor. A rough floor is laid on them . Further heat and waterproofing. And only then - the final floor.
Door and window openings are provided already in the process of assembling walls. The shape of the walls is held with the help of special frames - casing. As the walls are erected, internal walls are also erected.
