The dungeon, known to WoW players as “Cleansing Stratholme”, which many players can’t find an entrance to, has a very interesting story and is the next step on the road to the battle with the Scourge. It was the young prince who turned one of the most beautiful and greatest cities into flaming ruins that are now visible to all the inhabitants of the WoW game world.
During the third war, misfortune fell upon the kingdom of Lordaeron - the plague. Arthas, without much hesitation, undertook to investigate her in order to stop the infection as soon as possible and save his people from a terrible fate. Traces led him to the city of Stratholme, where through infected grain the plague spread among the inhabitants, killing and turning them into undead. In the city, the prince met with Mal'Ganis, better known as the Lord of Terror. It was he who told him about the plague and put him before the choice: to destroy all the inhabitants with his own hand or to watch how his people are slowly dying, replenishing the troops of the king of the dead. Arthas made a difficult decision: to kill his subjects, to destroy and burn the whole city, so that not a single person would become a slave of the Scourge.

Who can access the dungeon
Characters who have reached level 75 can enter the WoW Stratholme. Caves of time are located near this town inhabited by goblin-mechanics, in the northern part of the location.
An easier and faster way to get to the caves is to move around the portals. First you need to teleport to Dalaran, the capital of Northrend. Then you should find in the city of Amethyst Citadel, in which any player can find a portal to the Caves of Time. It is located on the second floor of the building. If for some reason the player does not see the portal, he can contact the NPC and ask him to go to the location you need.
Those who have just started playing computer games with an open world should remember that the Caves of Time are a disputed territory. This means that, once in this place, you may encounter representatives of opposing factions. On PvE servers, such a meeting is not dangerous, but those who play in the PvP world may need to confront enemy players.
Entrance to Stratholme

Dungeon bosses
With whom will the brave five players have to compete in the Cleansing Stratholme dungeon? The first on your way will be the Meat Hook and the necromancer Salram Plotorez. The first step towards a plague-infected city
Immediately after entering the dungeon, players will see a transformation: regardless of the fraction and race of the character, he turns into a person. Going upstairs, you should find a baby named Chromie and take the quest "The Enchantress" from her. After completing the quest, the players Chromie will offer a new task, which consists in escorting Prince Arthas to Stratholme. A meeting with him and Uther the Lightbringer should take place at the city gates. To get there faster, you can ride any mount. Players will witness the conversation between the two crowned spirits, after which it will be possible to go to the city to save him from the plague.
Second stage: battle
After entering Stratholme, Arthas will remain at the gates, and players will have to repel many Scourge attacks. In order to better navigate on which side the next attack will follow, you will have to constantly look at the map: the places of concentration of enemy troops will be marked with white flags. It is worth noting that you will need to move very quickly, on the move fighting off undead mobs. The Scourge troops groups consist of a set of random mobs, including magicians, abominations, huge spiders and zombies.
After the fifth wave, the first boss appears in a random place in the city. Having dealt with it, the players will have to run around the streets of Stratholme. This will continue until then. Until you kill 5 packs of Scourge troops, after which the second boss will enter the battle. Like other dungeons, Clearing Stratholme will require some skill and coherence from the players. There shouldn’t be any problems with the first boss, as the Meat Hook does not have unpleasant abilities. But the necromancer Salram Plotorez can cast a spell on any member of the group and turn him into a skeleton. This does not affect the character’s abilities in any way, so it is important to continue the battle regardless of this factor. The cutter also periodically causes crowds of ghouls, the control of which must be carried out by the tank. The boss can explode one of the ghouls with his abilities, so the healer should carefully monitor the health of the tanking player.
What should players pay attention to in the second stage of the passage of the dungeon? Prince Arthas, who will follow the group, and sometimes even be ahead of it, needs a hench during the battle with the bosses. It is important to constantly monitor his health and prevent him from dying. Otherwise, you have to start all over again.
Third boss Epoch has the ability to “slow down time”, which reduces cast time, run speed and attack by 75%. To reduce the chance of falling under this blow, it is important for a group of players along with a heal to be behind the boss as close to him as possible. The same recommendations apply to the final boss of Mal'Ganis's Cleansing Stratholme dungeon. The fact is that he is able to put any member of the group into sleep for 5 seconds. Heroic mode: walkthrough
In tactics, the heroic mode of the dungeon is not much different from the usual. Nevertheless, players should be prepared for the fact that mobs will be stronger, and bosses' abilities will do more tangible damage to the group. In addition, the heroic passage opens access to an additional boss - the Defiler. To enter the battle with him, it is important to pass the first bosses for a certain period of time. Difficulties with his murder should not be, the main thing is to invest maximum damage in the boss and continue to heal Prince Arthas.
Dungeon mining
As a prey in the dungeon, players can get a variety of equipment items, ice cloth and ice balls, for which you can purchase recipes and components for creating items. Raising a reputation in a dungeon
