The shade of color varies from dark red to black-brown. Some coat color options (rusty and brown) allow dogs to have white and black spots of different locations. In redheads, this is a white strip on the back of the nose and neck, spots on the stomach and paws, and also a white collar on the chest. Black spots and grooves are acceptable for red and brown marriages (above eye level, along the edges of the ears, on the muzzle, along the back and on the tail).
