Character story
Sylvanas Windrunner, leader of the Rangers, followed her sacred duty to protect Kel Talas’s home at all costs. This is a character that combines the skills of a talented commander and a tagged archer. But even with such abilities, she failed to stop the Scourge. Sylvanas died, however, and in the next world, she had no peace. By the forces of the Death Knight Arthas, she was resurrected from the dead and assumed the guise of a banshee. Over time, Sylvanas, freed from control, managed to become a powerful ruler of the Forsaken.

Tangible advantages and weaknesses
This character has the following strengths:
- a large number of escapes;
- high damage;
- good push potential;
- the ability to neutralize enemy buildings;
- invulnerable capture of a siege camp.
For all its merits, Sylvanas also has several flaws. Learn about them below:
- low damage during auto attacks;
- a small amount of hp;
- not directed attack (good positioning is required);
- castes are interrupted only by the use of some kind of heroic ability.
Buildim Sylvanas Assassin and Specialist
It is based on the possibility of using the "Disastrous Shelling" and "Ambush Pathfinder". Using this build, you can activate GO up to fifteen times, which is very good. In addition, the character adds mobility.
Despite the fact that the use of Windrunner in this build is considered the main talent, it takes a lot of skill to play it. If the player is not completely confident in his abilities, then we recommend that you choose another skill.
As for the specialist Sylvanas, the skill “Obsession” plays an important role here, but it is chosen depending on the situation. We take it if we play in a team of proven teammates who can fill Sylvanas’s control.
Build-guide "HOTS" on Sylvanas-support
Pretty custom build for the heroine. This build is not so common in the Heroes of the Storm guides to Sylvanas, but it deserves our attention no less. The meaning of the assembly does not revolve around causing damage, but around support for the team. Sylvanas uses her skills to weaken enemies, while still not inferior to teammates in damage.
We recommend that you pay attention to the following abilities:
- "Lost Soul" and "Cold Embrace" - if used correctly, you can get a good addition to the damage. Invisible enemies lose the ability to hide from the blow.
- The use of Paralysis and Overwhelming Sorrows slows down the speed of movement of enemies, while the player’s team is in a big advantage.
- With the "Wailing Arrow" you can interrupt the castes of almost any spell. Along with this, the target receives an additional blow.
Choose a line
We continue the guide to Sylvanas and proceed to the consideration of the gameplay. The character does not have a large supply of hp, and the possibility of a single escape can be spent under the influence of control. At the start of the passage, it is recommended to stay away from PvP, so choose the top or bottom line.
Do not forget about the siege camp - its capture can pass quickly and without loss of hp. Attacking the forest camps for Sylvanas the Killer also gives a good advantage.
Matches on Blackheart Cove and Ghost Replicas require a slightly different approach. The first map is a field for “PvP” battles, so Sylvanas should stay with her on the team, knocking out doubloons along the way. “Ghost Replicas” are played using standard tactics applicable to the specialist — push the line that the golem will go through. Do not forget about participating in events!
About allies and opponents
Sylvanas can be perfectly played alone. She also has the strength to fight back two opponents at the same time. Despite this, having someone from a support nearby will never be superfluous. We recommend taking a closer look at Kerigan with its large margin of control. Such a combo, along with the damage of Sylvanas, can easily deal with opponents who have almost no HP points left.
Windrunner also works great with other specialists, with all but Abatur. Thus, pushing the line becomes possible already at the start.
As for the opponents, the most dangerous is the combo of two specialists on one line. Enemies in the amount of three to five people can also put us in a not very advantageous position. In this case, you will either have to seek help from the teammates, or flee, because the chances of winning are almost at zero.
Sonia and Sledgehammer deserve special attention. We can’t cope with the first one - it can easily deal with a group of creeps and heal all the damage done, without even leaving the line. From the Sledgehammer, sickly blows arrive, especially with regard to the Siege Regime. Here we are again powerless.
As for the push
Sylvanas has amazing Black Arrow and Deadly Shelling skills that help to neutralize siege camps and enemy towers. How does this happen, and what does the guide to Sylvanas recommend? First you need to bring the hero to the side of the tower / giant - we do this until the moment the selected target is highlighted by our sight. Immediately after this, you need to use the "Fatal Shelling", while not forgetting to attack the second enemy with the help of auto attacks.
As for the giants: if everything is bad with shelling charges and they are coming to an end, then you can replace them with auto attacks. Thus we hit two goals at once, each in turn. Because of the speed, the giants will not be able to attack us in return, but the damage done to them will be small. Therefore, do not forget about the timely shelling from the side. This tactic cannot be used during an attack by enemy towers.
