Also, for crafts, you will need tools and materials: stationery and manicure scissors, a model knife (for cutting the inside of the steering wheel), a long ruler, a pencil, a glue gun, thick corrugated paper, a print of the car logo, satin ribbon, double-sided tape and, in fact, candy.
Instructions for creating a gift for a brother in the DR consists of several stages:
- The first step is to draw a circle on the cardboard and cut it out. If using the compass you can’t draw the steering wheel of the right size, you can use a large plate for this purpose, simply by circling the outer circle along its contours.
- Next, you need to lay out the candies according to the sketch and choose a shape for outlining a small circle: for example, use a hot stand. Now in the center we draw a small circle. In the above example, the largest of them turned out to be 35 centimeters in diameter, the small one - 17 cm.
- At the next stage, we mark the jumpers with candies (like a real steering wheel) and circle them on both sides with straight lines. Then with the help of a model knife you need to cut out the elements in the center.
- At this step, glue the corrugated paper with a glue gun, cut it (with scissors for manicure) and bend the edges of the paper inside the steering wheel. The second side must be sealed and cut holes.
- The next step is to fasten the satin ribbon, the edge of which is closed with glue.
- Next, you need to stick tape on the sweets and fix them on the steering wheel, and in the center stick the printed car logo.
- The final stage is wrapping the steering wheel in a film and bandaging it with a ribbon.
Edible dumbbell
If the birthday boy is fond of sports and loves sneakers, a sweet gift can be issued in the form of a dumbbell. To make it, you need to prepare: three black sheets of cardboard, 300 grams of mini-sneakers, corrugated paper in dark blue or black, CD or DVD disc, superglue, lighter and double-sided tape. For decoration, we will use a satin ribbon and a chocolate medal.
Such an edible sports equipment will be an excellent gift for a brother in the DR at the age of 15, although if he is a gourmet, then you can give it at any age.
How to make?
The main thing here is the basis of the dumbbell, which is made by twisting black cardboard into a double tube and fixing it with glue and tape. Next, you need to circle two disks on the cardboard and cut out, providing holes for the base. In order for the dumbbell to be stable, you should cut the disc from the bottom by 1 cm. The turn of corrugated paper has come: with it we glue the discs and the base is ready.
At the design stage, each sneakers with a double-sided tape is tightly attached to the dumbbell. It is necessary to glue in two rows in order to “increase” the necessary volume of disks. A delicious handmade decoration ends, for which a thin satin ribbon is set on fire from the edges and glued to a medal, which then simply needs to be hung on a dumbbell. An original gift for my brother in the DR is ready. You can also think about additional packaging or a stand - give free rein to imagination. And sneakers can easily replace any chocolate bars.
Something from clothes

Cut and tailor
We always start by measuring and cutting out two rectangles from the fabric, between which you need to lay a fleece and secure with pins. Then it should be sewn around the perimeter or carefully and slowly stitching manually (if there is no machine). We wrap the resulting workpiece around the cup and select the best place for sewing on Velcro (marking it with a pin).
Separately, you need to prepare a photo frame by cutting out a square from the same fabric (not forgetting also about the fleece), about 8x8 in size. We lay the fabric squares on top of each other, and measuring 1.5 cm from all sides, draw a smaller square: 5x5 centimeters, and carefully cut it out, thus obtaining a frame. The perimeter of the square must be sewn to connect the fleece with the velvet. In the next step, you need to sew the frame to the sleeve blank, attach it to the middle, then insert a photo (or a certain thematic picture) into it. It turned out a spiritual gift to my brother in DR. 27 years old, 30, 35 or 50 he turns - not essential, such a surprise will appeal to anyway.
Gift Addition
As a touching addition to any gift, you can make a greeting card with your own hands, for which you first cut a large rectangle and bend it in half, by analogy with a regular greeting card. Next, you need to cut out dozens of circles from a multicolored cardboard about ten centimeters in size. It will be balloons. They will need thick threads, optimally - from yarn.
For each ball, we prepare the base from a small strip of cardboard, bent like a hat with fields, with which it is necessary to glue it inside the card in different parts. The bottom third is not sealed. On the base with glue we fix the balls.
Another cardboard strip (up to 10 mm wide) is fixed at the bottom of the card and also bends in half. This is necessary so that it does not wrinkle when opening / closing. At the final step - pull the thread from each ball to the strip. The outside of the card can be decorated with the inscription "Happy Birthday!" or some other in this vein.
