Now more and more popular are drawings and applications from the palms. The guys are delighted that you can make a beautiful craft from the prints of your hands. However, if you use paints, the children will get dirty themselves and everything around will become colored, so it’s better to choose another option when you need to trace the outline of the palm of your hand on colored paper with a pencil and assemble the decor from cut blanks.
Materials and Tools
To make beautiful hand-made applications, you will need the following:
- colored paper of any quality and texture (usual for children's art, corrugated, even napkins are suitable);
- pencil;
- scissors;
- glue;
- template;
- basis for application (paper or color cardboard).
Such crafts are easy to make, not only at home, but also in an organized group, for example, in a kindergarten.
Work technology
To make different applications from children's hands, it is better to find samples of the image that you want to make. The adjustment is performed as follows:
- Circle the palms on sheets of colored paper. If the paper is thin, then you can circle once, and fold the sheet in several layers.
- Cut the workpiece in the right amount.
- Take the base from cardboard and draw on it the outline of the object that you will perform (flower, sun, etc.), or print your favorite picture. It is easy to supplement with a palm-topography.
- Put glue on the palms of your hands and apply layer by layer according to the shape of the drawn contour. The hands can be glued, completely covering the surface of the workpiece with glue, or only part of them (fingers are left free).
Using this technology, not only hand-made applications in the form of panels are performed, but also decor, which can be transferred and picked up. To do this, it is enough to stick the palms not on a sheet of cardboard, but one on the other with an overlap. As a frame element, it is easy to use a rod, a stick, a tape.
Application "Colored hands"
Very bright decisions are easy to make using paper of different colors. Each child can cut blanks from sheets of one color or from several at once. Ideas with colored hands are different. It is enough to lay out the panels from the blanks, placing their palms on a white background, or use them as flowers in a clearing. The original option is to make an unusual decoration in the form of a cheerful sun.
To make such a craft, work like this:
- Take a disposable plate (plastic or paper) and paint it yellow.
- Draw or paste eyes made of colored paper, a smile, a nose.
- Take the paper in yellow and orange and circle the palms on it, 5 pieces on each sheet.
- Cut the workpiece.
- Apply glue to the inner contour of the plate and glue your hands, evenly distributing them around the perimeter of the circle.
It’s good to attach a loop-pendant to such a craft by gluing it from the back or by making a hole in the plate material.
Application "Palm Tree"
This work option is perfect for collective children's creativity. The tree can be made both from green paper, and from colored sheets. The second way is a good idea for the autumn crafts. It is easy to make a simple tree using a popsicle stick, on which the palms are glued in layers (as in the photo above). Typically, this craft is performed in the form of a panel. The work goes like this:
- Take a large sheet, for example, Whatman paper or cardboard. Draw a tree trunk and twigs in the center. Paint the blank with brown gouache, felt-tip pens.
- Give the children colored paper in yellow, orange, red (for autumn crafts).
- Explain how to circle your palms. Let the children draw one or several blanks (depending on the size of the tree and the number of children doing the work).
- Cut out the palms.
- Glue the parts to the appropriate places on the painted wood frame.
If the work is done at home, such a tree can be made as a family craft by sticking the palms of all the household: both children and adults. On a craft performed collectively in a group, each palm is often signed (name of the child). Students will be able to write wishes on each palm. So, a beautiful panel will turn into a greeting card.
