Gone are the days when the best (RPG including) computer entertainment was where the developers “got into” more and more monotonous quick missions. Technology does not stand still, and, like the entire gaming industry, genres are developing - each in its own way. But let's get right to the point. And finally, let's find out about those nominees who will argue for the title "Best RPGs of all time ...".
Third place
Opens the top three, undoubtedly the
best RPG game in the style of "space fiction" Mass Effect. Moreover, it would be right to add to this list all three parts of the game, since this trilogy at the time made a real sensation in the gaming industry. And the point is not so much in the interesting quest system or the smartly worked out idea of pumping a character, but in the complete
freedom of choice that the game provides us. Want to be a villain or a good-natured person? Please, this is not new. Want to be a woman or a man? Noble or evil? Greedy or generous? A patriot of the
human race or tolerant of all? What can I say, if in the game even sexual orientation can be chosen at will! In general, Mass Effect is a worthy representative of the series, which is undoubtedly worth the attention and the time that you spend on passing, because in return you will get a lot of emotions!
Second place
The second place in the nomination “Best RPGs of all time” is taken by a series of Dragon Age games. First of all, thanks to many interesting and intricate missions that turn the game into a real detective story. And also for a complex, but very functional tactical control system for each character in the group individually. A wide range of weapons and armor, combat spells and other gameplay moments, coupled with a well-developed engine and just a huge game world, create the unforgettable impression that makes Dragon Age go through again and again!

Oddly enough, even the best RPGs of all time are inferior to the
old games, which, it would seem, is time to forget, but, alas, ah, the legends are not so easily forgotten! Fable: The Lost Chapters is the story of a boy whose family dies at the very beginning of the story. Fate promises him to become a hero, but whose side he will take depends entirely on you! Just a chic plot, an interesting and colorful game world - undoubtedly, Fable deserves the first place in the nomination. To be a hero, bright and pure, like an angel, or an evil horned (literally) demon hiding in the night - it's up to you. Personal life, hairstyles, tattoos, armor and clothes, a huge selection of weapons, houses - do not count all that you can do in Fable!

Speaking about computer games in general, it is difficult not to notice the tendency to the gradual "withering away" of smart games, where one single mission could be spent for hours. But while the RPG genre is alive, there will remain the hope that there will always be a suitable toy to warm up the brains!
