How do new breeds appear?
In ancient times, dogs were used for hunting and housing protection. Therefore, in those days, people carried out a kind of selection according to these criteria. However, as human civilization developed, requirements for animals began to change. For example, some hunters did not appreciate the white color of the Fox Terriers. They began purposefully crossing different dogs and as a result got a black and tan ragweed.
When people needed guard and fighting animals, as a result of selection, not one new breed of dog appeared. In China, these were sharpei, in Italy - Cane Corso.
For hunting in the vast expanses of the steppe, very fast dogs were needed, capable of overtaking a wolf, fox or hare. It was thanks to this that the Russian canine greyhound was bred.
ODIS
This abbreviation stands for Odessa domestic ideal dog. Work on the creation of this breed began in the 70s of the last century. It was bred as a result of planned mating of the fox terrier, dwarf poodle and Maltese lapdog. As a result of this, breeders managed to obtain a group of animals similar in phenotype and having common ancestors.
Like any other new breed of dog, ODIS has its own standard. These tiny animals grow up to 25 centimeters at the withers. Moreover, their weight is not more than three kilograms. The miniature body of the doggie is covered with a thick, long, hypoallergenic coat of white, gray or light fawn color.
Representatives of this breed are distinguished by a cheerful energetic temperament. They have a sufficiently developed immune system that is resistant to infectious diseases. Over the entire period of their existence, veterinarians have not registered a single case of severe pathologies or congenital malformations.
Russian salon dog
These decorative doggies appeared about fifteen years ago. They were brought out by domestic livestock specialist Yu.A. Lakatosh by crossing the Yorkshire Terrier, a pug and a Belgian griffin. Like any other new dog breeds in Russia, these miniature animals quickly gained popularity. They are ideal for maintenance in a city apartment and have an open complaisant character.
Unlike other decorative dogs, they have a powerful physique and a strong skeleton. On a rounded short-mouthed head are high-set ears, giving them a touching look. The body of the animal is covered with long flowing hair, requiring careful care and regular grooming. The height of adults is 18-28 cm. The weight of such a doggie varies between 1.8-3.5 kg.

Representatives of this breed weigh between 1.5-3 kilograms with a growth of not more than 32.5 centimeters. As for the color, it can be anything except fawn, cream and silver. Initially, these animals were bred for hunting, but now they are successfully used as companions.
Kava poo chong
This is one of the youngest breeds, bred as a result of crossing the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Toy Poodle and Bichon. The breeders' plans included getting a small decorative dog with good health and hypoallergenic hair.
Kava-poo-jung is considered a very rare and expensive animal. Despite the fact that this breed has not yet been officially recognized, she found her connoisseurs among ordinary owners.
