Skill Level 350-450. Northrend is populated by gigantic herds of mammoths, deer, wild horses and other animals with which you can remove the skin. While you will pump the character in Northrend, you will collect a mountain of skin. A great place is the Sholozar Lowland.
Skill Level 400-500. Of all the locations of the cataclysm, Podemye can be called an ideal place for skin extraction. There are a lot of animals in a small area.
Skill Level 500-600. The easiest stage, since in Pandaria there are an incredible amount of animals that you will encounter. Exotic leather will be mined in huge quantities, and gold will flow in rivers.
