The mesh filter (clutch) performs the function of delaying mechanical impurities and filtering the working medium, in particular water. A special mesh is installed in the housing. Through this grid, and cleaning is carried out.

The mechanism of operation of the devices under consideration is similar to the principle of operation of cartridge-type products. During the cleaning process, impurities are trapped in the grid, and clean water is supplied to the consumer. The mesh filter is different from the cartridge one in that the cartridge is washed and not changed. In addition, for washing it is not necessary to disassemble the mechanism body. Subject to operating rules, taking into account all the features of the water being treated, the mesh filter works without replacing the mesh for up to two years.
Wash-type cleaning products include a drain hole. It is located at the bottom of the device. The drain hole opens and closes with a ball valve. A drainage fitting is attached to it, to which a flexible hose is brought. In the process of washing the device, the ball valve opens, part of the water, leaving the drainage, washes off all the mechanical impurities that have deposited on the grid. Most filters for cleaning provide a continuous supply of purified water during the washing process.
To extend the service life after five to six washes, it is recommended to disassemble the flask for more thorough cleaning. To do this, you can use a brush that will help eliminate mechanical impurities, particles of dirt that get stuck in the mesh cells.
The mesh filter for hot water is made entirely of metal. In devices designed to clean cold water, the flask is usually transparent.
The backwash screen filter has a slightly different operating principle. Its essence boils down to the fact that when washing the mesh, the water not only rinses off impurities of a mechanical nature, as occurs in simple rinsing filters, but also cleans the cells. This is achieved by the direction of water, reverse filtration. As a result, all mechanical particles stuck in the cells are pushed out. The modern filter with a backwash includes a liner divided into two parts. In the process of water purification, a large (lower) part of the liner is involved in the work.
