All things made by oneself have some indescribable charm, a kind of charm. Probably because each such thing is absolutely unique and made with love. If a person likes to knit, then it will be a great idea to make a knitted toy. This article describes how to crochet a monkey. The cheerful face of this mischievous person is able to delight and cause a smile on the face of not only a baby, but also an adult.
Materials
To create this voluminous soft toy you will need two colors of yarn: dark brown to do the main work and light beige to highlight the legs, ears and muzzle of the future monkey. For the eyes you will need two black beads. You will also need a wire, preferably 1.5 mm, to make our toy wireframe and able to take various positions. And for the "insides" of the monkey will need some kind of filler - synthetic winterizer or holofiber.
Before crocheting a monkey, you need to immediately prepare all these materials. Are you done? Then get to work!
Knit head and torso
Description of the monkey, crocheted, you need to start with the largest part - the body. In this master class, it fits simultaneously with the head. So let's get started.
We knit 6 air loops and close them in an amigurumi ring (hereinafter in the spacecraft text). In the 2nd row we add 6 loops, we get only 12 loops. Then we knit a row with single crochet (hereinafter in the stbn text), adding 6 more stitches evenly. In the 4th row, we make two columns, then an increase in one loop.
Thus, adding 6 loops evenly in each row, we make seven rows from the beginning. You should get 42 loops. We knit these loops in columns from the 8th to the 17th rows. In order to make it easier to figure out how to start work, the figure shows a diagram of a monkey made with a hook, which clearly shows how the beginning of the head of our toy fits.
From the 18th row, we begin to decrease evenly 6 loops in a row. That is, in the 18th row we knit 5 stbn, we make a decrease and so on. In the 19th - 4 columns and a decrease. We continue in such a way that 18 loops remain in our future crocheted monkey. In total, 21 rows should be connected to this stage, after it we place a marker marking the middle of the back.
From the 22nd to the 27th, we continue to knit 18 stb in a row, after the 25th row we withdraw the wire. These will be the front legs of the monkey.
In the 28th row we knit 3 columns, then we make an increase. Thus we end the row. We knit the 29th row without increments in columns. We knit the 30th and 31st, 32nd and 33rd by analogy with the previous two, adding loops through 4 and 5 loops respectively. The last row should have 36 loops. When finished, draw another wire for the future tail.
We knit the 34th row like this: do 2 columns, increase, repeat 4 times. Then 9 stbn and repeat 2 stbn, increase 5 more times. The result is 45 loops. We knit them from the 35th to the 45th columns.
From the 46th row, we again begin to make loop loops. 13 stbn, decrease, repeat to the end of the row. The next row - 5 stbn, decrease 6 times. From the 48th to the 52nd row, we make 6 decreases. At the end there should be 6 loops. They need to be pulled together, the thread should be left authentic, in order to make it the weights for the priests and navel of the monkey.
We get a ready-made head and torso of a crocheted monkey. The description of the work is carried out as detailed as possible and should not cause difficulties in the execution.
Muzzle
We proceed to the execution of the muzzle of our animal. As at the very beginning of the description of the monkey, crocheted, we close 6 loops in the spacecraft. In the 2nd row we add 6 loops. From the 3rd to the 7th, we also add 6 loops in each row evenly. The rest we knit stbn. In the 7th row should get 42 loops. From the 8th to the 11th, we knit these 42 loops in columns.
From the 12th row we begin the decrease: 12 stbn, decrease. Repeat 3 times. The 13th row is just columns. In the 14th we knit 11 stbn, reduce the loops, continue to the end of the row. 15th without change we knit stbn. Then the 16th row by analogy - 10 stbn, decrease.
Then between the 12th and 6th rows you need to make a fold for the lower lip, sew it well and then fix the thread. The resulting muzzle should be lightly filled with filler and sewn to the finished head.
Eyes
2 black beads are used for the eyes, and the whites of the eyes are easy to make from white yarn. To do this, close 8 columns in the spacecraft. Done.
Eyes need to be sewn onto the “mask” so that the monkey's face looks more harmonious. We begin to knit the “mask” with a light thread as follows: 8 stbn we close in the spacecraft, unfold the knitting. 2nd row: air loop (hereinafter referred to as VP), (stbn, increase), (...) repeat 3 more times, turn over. Then again 1 VP, 2 columns, an increase, another 3 times. Change the thread to dark, make VP, increase, (3 stbn, increase), (...) 3 more times. There should be 22 loops. We knit them on the 5th and 6th rows of stbn. Do not forget to turn over the work after each row. In the 7th, make a column, then (2 stbn, decrease), repeat 5 times. We finish the row of stbn.
Sew to the muzzle "mask", squirrels and at the end of the bead eyes.
Ears and tail
These are probably the simplest details of a future toy. Although a complete description of the monkey crocheted, it should not cause anyone additional questions or difficulties in work. Crafting is pretty quick and easy.
8 stbn close in the already familiar spacecraft, turn. Add 8 loops, unfold. And then we knit a row of columns. We make the exact same second ear and sew to the head at eye level.
6 stbn in the spacecraft, from the 2nd to the 40th we knit without changing these 6 stbn stitches. In the end we contract. So the tail is ready.
Front legs
We take brown yarn, make a SC of 6 columns, knit them 35 rows in a row. Next, we knit with light yarn: a column, an increase. Repeat until the end of the row. From the 37th to the 39th we knit in columns without increases. Insert the wire, rolled up with a loop. It will be our palm. In the 40th row we make an increase, 3 stbn, one more increase and 4 stbn. In total, 11 loops should be obtained.
In the 41st row, we make the monkey's fingers: decrease, fold the palm in half. Repeat the algorithm 4 times: 3 VP, 4 STB per VP, STB (in the palm), connecting the halves of the palm. It turned out 4 fingers. To tie the thumb - we stretch the thread 3 rows below the current position and do 3 VP and 4 stbn on them.
The second foot is doing exactly the same.
Hind legs
We start, as before, with a spacecraft of 6 loops. We knit 15 rows of columns. It will be a shin. She knits from dark yarn.
We knit a foot with beige threads. 6 loops in spacecraft. Next column, increase. We get 9 loops. In the 3rd row we do 3 stbn, 2 vp, skip 2 loops, 4 stbn. From the 4th to the 6th, we knit these 9 loops with just columns. In the 7th row we make an increase, 3 stbn, an increase and 4 stbn. After the 3rd row we knit with ordinary columns. We insert the wire in the same way as in the front foot. In the 12th row we fold the foot in half, make a decrease and then: 3 VP, 3 stbn on these VP, stbn in the foot. So do 4 times and get 4 toes. Shutdown
It remains only to assemble the finished parts together. So, the shin and foot are sewn together, and then connected to the trunk. We do the same with the front legs and tail. The monkey is ready.
