How to make an angel costume for a boy with your own hands

The costume of an angel is a very beautiful carnival outfit. It suits both girls and boys. And making such a suit is very simple.

What elements can an angel costume consist of?

An angel costume for a boy (photo above) may consist of the following items:

• a long tunic dress tied with a belt;
• shirts and panties loose fit.

A prerequisite for the outfit to be white. Wings and a halo are also needed.

As you can see, making a baby angel costume for a boy is quite simple. Therefore, it is not necessary to sew it. The main thing is to choose the right clothes. As for the attributes, the wings and halo can easily be made independently.

A belt is best made of a beautiful rope or lace.

On the legs it is better to wear white ballet shoes or slippers. If the costume is sewn for the kid from the younger group of the kindergarten, then you can limit yourself to socks.

How to make a halo and wings?

You can make a halo separately from the wings, but it will be more convenient for the child if these distinctive features of the little angel are one element of the outfit.

Workshop on how to make a halo and wings:

1. Cut two wings out of thick cardboard. It is better to use large format sheets.
2. Coat cardboard on both sides with white paint.
3. Make two holes in each wing and thread an elastic band. The baby will stick in the handles and, thus, the wings will be attached to the back.
4. Make one more hole in the wings and thread the wire so that the wings connect to each other.
5. Make one more piece of nimbus wire and cover it with gold or silver sparkles.
6. Take white napkins or coffee filters.
7. If you use napkins, round them off on one side.
8. Fold the napkins or filters in several layers and stick them to the wings. The first row should start from the bottom, and let each next cover the previous half.
9. Attach the halo to the wire connecting the wings.

Attributes for the angel costume are ready.

Christmas angel

To make the outfit New Year's, an angel costume for a boy should be decorated with a silver rain.

If the child is wearing a tunic dress, then use tinsel instead of a belt. And if the costume consists of pants and a shirt, then sew the rain to the sleeves and the bottom of the pants.

2. Twist the wire into a round shape and clamp the ends together.
3. Take a long piece of wire and wrap it around the rim several times (Figure 2). Lift the two ends of the wire up like horns.
4. Make loops at both ends of the wire.
5. Attach the halo to the loops and fasten (Figure 3).
6. Take the rain and wrap it tightly around the wire circle (Figure 4).
7. The end of the rain can be fixed with a white thread, which then will not be visible.

How to make a tunic dress really easy?

The tunic dress serves as an angel outfit not only for girls, but sometimes for boys. Especially such clothes are chosen for kids who go to the younger group of kindergarten.

Master class on how to make an angel costume for a boy with your own hands:

1. Take a large piece of white cloth. If you want the costume to play in the light, then choose a satin or silk, which is cheaper. An outfit made of thin cotton fabric will also look good.
2. Fold the material in half with the wrong side up.
3. Measure the desired length and cut off the excess fabric.
4. Outline the neckline for the fold of fabric.
5. Cut sleeves on the sides.
6. Cut off the excess parts, not forgetting to leave allowances of a few centimeters (see picture above).
7. Make a suit.
8. Sew the neck so that it looks neat.
9. From below, if desired, you can make a fringe. To do this, make scissors cuts on the hem of a few centimeters.

Turn out the finished suit and decorate it with a belt.

Step-by-step instructions on how to sew pajama pants under an angel costume for a boy:

1. The pattern of the lower part of the outfit consists of two identical parts - the front and back of the leg (figure 1). Their length can be recognized easily. Just attach the old pants of your child, folded in half, to the sketch of the pattern and measure the desired size.
2. Cut out the pattern.
3. Attach the pattern to the white fabric and cut out two parts of the back and the front (Figure 2). Do not forget to make allowances on all sides in a couple of centimeters, and also top off five to six centimeters in order to make a belt.
4. Stitch all four parts together (Figure 3).
5. Do the twists on the pants. To do this, wrap the bottom two times.
6. Make a belt. Fold the fabric at the top a couple of times and bast it. Then insert the rubber (Figure 4). Instead of elastic, you can use a lace. Sew the belt.

Panties are sewn. Combine them with a tunic, a halo and wings and your angel costume for a boy is completely ready!

Suit panties shirt

If you want to sew a cut shirt to the panties a little more complicated than described above, then you need to use the pattern.

Instructions on how to sew a shirt for an angel boy:

1. Build a pattern. To do this, you need to decide how long the shirt will be and what cutout to make (possible patterns in patterns 1 and 2).
2. Cut out the pattern and transfer it to the fabric. To keep as few seams as possible on the shirt, fold the material in half, and attach the sketch sideways with a neckline to the fold.
3. Cut two parts, remembering to make allowances on the sides, bottom and on the neckline.
4. Stitch together the back and front.
5. Tuck the bottom of the shirt a couple of times and sew it.
6. Do the same in the cutout area.
7. Turn out the shirt.

The outfit is ready.

Note: if you want the shirt for your angel to be with long sleeves, then simply cut an additional two identical trapezoid. In the widest place, it should be equal to the circumference of the forearm, in the narrowest - the wrists, and in length let it be slightly longer than the length of the handle.

If you decide not to sew the costume yourself, but simply pick up ready-made clothes, then consider the following nuance: the pajama set is best for this role, since it is loose-cut, just like an angel costume should look. It will be worst if you choose a tracksuit. Then it is better to limit yourself to a tunic dress.
