Recognition of the breed to the Yorkshire terriers came in the XIX century. Yorkies were obtained by crossing sky terriers, Manchester and, possibly, the Maltese lapdog. Over time, 9 york coat color options appeared, and tricolor dogs became very popular.
Beaver and Bio York are bright representatives of a group of companion dogs. Unlike active hunters, Yorkshire terriers, biveres and biro-breeds are exceptionally decorative. Beaver york
In 1987, a German breeder by the name of Beaver presented the world with these charming, fluffy-looking dog-balls, calling the Yorkshire Terrier a la pompom in his honor. Within a couple of years, the German Club of Dog Lovers registered the breed as an independent, in Russia it has been officially recognized since 2009.
Excellent companions, cute beaver Yorkies are happy to accompany the owner, without burdening him, because the mass of the beaver is 2-3 kg, and the growth does not exceed 22-27 cm.
Features of the appearance of the breed
It is not difficult to distinguish a York biver from a Yorkshire terrier; one must pay attention to the color of the animal's silky coat.
The body can be painted in 1 or 2 colors:
- black and white;
- blue and white;
- completely black;
- blue tint and white breast.
Excluded on the body are strands of gold or brown.
The proportional head stands out against the dark background of the body, it looks beautifully symmetrical combination of 3 colors of wool: white, blue, gold or black, white, gold.
On a rather long neck with a prominent withers is a small head. A compact neat muzzle with a beard is not very long, the nose should be black.
Woolen triangular ears are small and set high. Dark eyes are crafty, not convex, bordered by dark hair.
The paws of the biver are well covered with thick, but not long hair, straight, strong, muscular system is developed. The claws are black or white.
It is not customary to stop the woolen tail of the Beaver York breed, so it is proudly raised.
Character beaver york
Funny moving beaver yorks do not leave anyone indifferent. They are easy to train, because they just love active games. Smart, with a good memory, they get along well with people and animals.
Breeders note that biver is much less whimsical and moody than Yorkshire terriers. This dog is suitable for families with children, as well as for people who are busy at work or alone.
What is biro york?
This completely new breed of dog has not yet been recognized by the International Kennel Federation (FCI), which does not prevent many people around the world from raising charming dogs with an interesting color.
Similar to plush toys, bio yorkies were bred in 2004 in the Art of Highclass kennel (Germany), becoming the result of a mutation of Yorkshire terrier bivers. The combination of the names of breeders - Birgit Resner and Robert Kra - became the name of the new breed.
At least one of the parents of the puppy of the Bio Yorkshire Terrier must be a carrier of the gene responsible for the brown color. Only in this case, you can hope to get a beautiful dog that meets the requirements for color bio: chocolate-colored spots with a touch of gold on a white background.
Although biro is bred in many countries of the world, the breed is not yet stable, because a few breeders do not guarantee the generation of offspring with constant color characteristics: even 2 biro parents will not necessarily give offspring of the same color.
What does a biro look like?
A small companion dog, Biro York, weighs about 3 kg with a height of not more than 22 cm. The animal looks very elegant: long silky hair comes down with a shiny mantle, separated by a parting along the back. The color of biro york is given priority:
- tummy, chest and legs white;
- a chocolate-colored body with white breasts or symmetrically colored chocolate-white;
- in the hair on the head a combination of 3 colors is obligatory - white, chocolate and gold.
The head of a biro york is small, always on the crown of a forelock. Standing triangular ears are covered with wool. The nose is always brown. The muzzle is neat with a bearded chin, the head is connected to the body with a dense, but not massive neck.
A cute dog with a smart look of dark small eyes looks compact, straight legs are evenly coated with hair. The fluffy tail of the biro does not stop, so it is set high.
The description of the biro York breed will be incomplete if you do not mention a feature: in males, the testes are hidden in the scrotum.
The nature of the bio york
It is not by chance that biro Yorkies are companion dogs; they coexist perfectly with humans. Playful and affectionate, at the same time the biro is not intrusive and calm. Biro York gets along well with children and even other animals - cats and dogs. With good care, the dog looks elegant, it is pleasant and easy to take with you.
Disadvantages of thoroughbred dogs
To exhibit a pet, it is necessary that its exterior is fully consistent with breeding requirements. In beavers and biros, the following deviations from breed norms are sometimes found:
- light eyes;
- lop-eared;
- the predominance of white in color or coloring similar to the Yorkshire Terrier;
- lack of teeth, twisted jaw;
- Too thin or curly hair.
