Skyrim: difficulty level, passing secrets, tips

The game "Skyrim" was released back in 2011 and since then has overgrown with a large number of add-ons and mods. In the latest version of the game, the complexity of the "legendary" level was added and for some players it became a real test. But what sets the new complexity apart from everyone else, and how to play Skyrim at the legendary difficulty level?

Difficulty levels

In total, the game has 6 difficulty levels. By default, the average level is “Adept”. If some stage of the game seems too difficult, then the complexity can be switched to easier and continue the passage. You can do the opposite: complicate the game if it seems too simple.

What is the difference in difficulty levels in Skyrim? With each subsequent level, the damage received by the player increases and the amount of damage done decreases. In other words, the higher the difficulty level, the harder the opponents beat and the more the hero needs time to kill them.

Weak Mudcrab

Newbie

The lowest difficulty level in Skyrim. It is not popular with players, because the game becomes simply uninteresting. You can switch to a "beginner" in the case when a battle on a higher difficulty cannot be won and you do not want to return to it later with a stronger character. Also, low complexity is suitable for those who do not like battles and just want to explore the world.

Student

At this difficulty level in Skyrim, things get a little harder, but still not interesting enough. It’s too easy to kill enemies on the “student”, the character, in turn, takes too little damage from them. On this difficulty, you can quickly complete tasks and just get acquainted with the plot and the universe of the game.

Disciple's Stone

Adept

The average difficulty level in Skyrim, which is the default in the game. It is with him that it is best to start getting acquainted with the game. However, the “adept” seems too simple to experienced players. Playing at such a level of difficulty is quite comfortable, and it does not require the player to think through tactics for each battle. Nevertheless, the character may well die, and therefore sometimes you will have to use healing potions.

Expert

If the game on the “adept” seems too easy, you can try your hand at the “expert”. This level of complexity of Skyrim is not the most difficult, but it will not let you relax completely. Some opponents will begin to do more damage compared to previous difficulty levels, their health will increase, and the character will need more healing potions to deal with them.

Master

Initially, the "master" was the most difficult level in "Skyrim". At this level, the enemies become quite strong, their protection increases even more, and the damage that the character does becomes significantly less. Now the player needs to think through their actions before entering the battle and stock up on potions.

Dead dragon

Legendary

The maximum level of difficulty in the game. A feature of the legendary level of difficulty in Skyrim is that now opponents can kill a player with almost one blow. Without the right approach to character development, a fair supply of potions and patience, the "legendary" difficulty can hardly pass.

Comparison of difficulty in Skyrim: differences between difficulty levels Adept and Legendary

As already mentioned, the choice of complexity affects how much damage the opponents will inflict on the character and how much the hero himself will hit. With increasing complexity, more powerful varieties of monsters can be found, but they do not have any additional skills. And of course, passing “Skyrim” on the “legendary” level of difficulty takes much longer than on the “adept”.

Dead wolves

How is the battle different at maximum and medium difficulty? For example, having attacked a wolf with the difficulty of “adept”, a player will easily cope with it, having inflicted a couple of blows, and will continue his journey. On the "legendary" difficulty at the first meeting with the wolf in close combat, you will have to try to kill him. You can even manage to improve several skills.

If at the beginning of the game an “ice adept” encounters an ice troll, then it is quite possible to deal with it. At the "legendary" level, when meeting with such a monster, it is better to immediately run away and return only when the character improves his abilities.

Meeting with the cave bear

In general, the game on the “adept” at first seems quite easy, and only with the growth of the character level does everything begin to get a little more complicated. With "legendary" complexity, the opposite is true. The first levels are given with difficulty, but with the development of the character the enemies cease to seem invincible.

Another difference between the maximum level of complexity and the average is that for the successful application of skills they must be well pumped. For example, the “stealth” skill on the “adept” works well after getting the first six levels, while on the “legendary” difficulty this skill must be improved to at least level 45.

“Adept” is more suitable for those who do not want to bother too much when passing the game. "Legendary" same complexity will appeal to fans to constantly test their character for strength.

Leveling up some skills

As the character level in Skyrim increases with the level of skills, it will be useful to find out how to pump some of them faster:

  • Stealth. The easiest way to increase this skill is to push the character against a wall, press the Ctrl key to crouch, Capslock to disable running and “C” to automatically move forward. After this character can be left for some time until the skill is pumped. Another way is to constantly move around the world in stealth mode, without using fast movement.
  • Eloquence. The skill is easily improved through a conversation with the bartender in the tavern of the city of Riften. One has only to ask him to tell about the Black Heather family and to choose Persuasion all the time. You can still give any poor man a few coins or go to the temple of Dibella for a blessing.
  • Pickpocketing. The easiest way to improve this skill is to persist constantly before stealing and loading in case of failure (hotkeys F5-F9). The amount of experience gained depends on the value of the item that you decide to steal.
  • Blacksmith craft. To get the maximum benefit from this skill, it is worth downloading after pumping eloquence. All that is needed to improve blacksmithing is a lot of iron ingots and stripes of leather. You can either buy them or get them yourself by smelting the ore and cutting the skin into strips. Daggers are made from the extracted ingredients, which you can immediately sell, but it is better to leave it to pump enchantment.
  • Enchantment. Improving this skill will require a large number of soul gems and several learned enchantments. There are two ways to get stones: by enchanting some kind of weapon to capture souls and finishing off monsters with it, or using a spell if you decide to play as a magician. After receiving the stones, you can begin to enchant daggers made earlier. If there are no daggers, then you should go to Solitude and visit the store "Shining clothes." There you can buy a lot of cheap things that, after enchantment, are easy to resell for more.
  • Alchemy. This skill requires many different ingredients that are mined and bought throughout Skyrim. It is best to make invisibility potions, as well as paralysis poison, which causes damage to health.
  • Possession of weapons. This skill can be easily pumped at the beginning of the game. Just get to the place with the bear in the prologue of the game, take a dagger or other weapon and start to beat Hadvor or Ralof, depending on your choice. Since these characters are educational and in the story should be on the player’s side at least until they leave the cave, they will not start attacking, no matter how many blows you hit them. It’s best when pumping the skill in this way to choose the “legendary” difficulty level so that Ralof’s or Hadvor’s health score decreases more slowly.
Shooting character

Secrets and tips for passing

In "Skyrim" there are quite a lot of all sorts of nuances and tricks that can help in the passage of the game. Here is some of them:

  • Holding down the Alt key, the character begins to run or ride a horse faster, spending stamina. But it’s best not to spend it completely, because, upon completion, it will begin to recover only after a few seconds.
  • Do not ignore the books that you find during the passage of the game. They can increase some ability or start a quest.
  • Shooting from a bow in stealth mode, you can inflict additional damage.
  • If you remove torches from the walls, then sneaking will become easier.
  • Using the standby mode (by default, the "T" key) you can quickly restore health, mana and stamina.
  • You can exchange things with partners, but it is worth remembering that their carrying capacity is limited. Also, satellites have another interesting feature: if you give them one arrow for archery, it will never end, no matter how much the companion shoots. You can, for example, give a mercenary an ebonite arrow and collect a hundred of the same arrows after it.
  • Anything left anywhere will soon disappear. To avoid this, you should buy a house and put things in a chest.
  • If you do not like the difficulty settings of the game itself, then you can put the mods of difficulty levels in "Skyrim". Some of them equalize the damage received and the damage dealt, which may make life a bit easier at the legendary level. Others improve certain skills, which makes the game at maximum difficulty more comfortable, but playing at lower difficulties becomes uninteresting. There are those that further increase the complexity of the game.
