Many roads converge in Novosibirsk: motor, shipping, and railways. At peak times, the load of two automobile bridges in the central areas of the city is enormous. You can stand for several hours without a traffic accident. If the latter happened, then even longer.

In such a large metropolis, there are quite few through roads. And those that are, with an abundance of intersections with traffic lights, tram, railways or with one-way traffic. All this makes it difficult to travel and complicates the road situation with a large number of cars, allows them to accumulate and create huge traffic jams. Therefore, the construction of the Bugrinsky bridge was a necessity that had been brewing for quite some time.

Bugrinsky is called in Novosibirsk the third bridge in a row, but why will forever remain a mystery. In fact, there are many more bridges.

  • The North Bridge is a new bypass highway. It originates near the village of Prokudskoye and stretches to the village of Sokur. In its combination, it has a bridge over the Ob and combines the public roads M-51 and M-53.
  • The communal, or, as it is also called, the Oktyabrsky Bridge, united the two districts of the city from different banks. From the left bank - Leninsky, October - from the right. The first movement on the bridge began in the fall of 1955. At that time, there was a tram line and a highway. At the moment, the bridge is intended only for cars and lovers of sunset. There are also walking descents to the beach and park.
  • The metro bridge is the closest neighbor of the Oktyabrsky bridge. They go parallel to each other. This is the only covered railway bridge of such length in the world. Combined the metro lines on the left bank "Studencheskaya", on the right - "River Station".
  • The HPP bridge passes through the shipping channels of the gateway.
  • Dimitrovsky bridge - a later construction, combined the eponymous Dimitrov Avenue from the right bank with the Energetikov Avenue of the left bank.

  • The second railway bridge, or Komsomolsky, is also located in the system of the Trans-Siberian Railway through the Ob. Built at the beginning of the twentieth century.

Bugrinsky Bridge - the highway from Bolshevik Street to Vatutin Street. In fact, this is only a small round in the global construction of South-West transit, which is being designed and implemented at the present time. During the construction of the bridge, the choice fell on the arched structure, because the town planning council considered several projects.

Given the geographical and geological factors: the Ob riverbed, groundwater, nearby surfaces, the choice fell on the girder bridge with ceilings in the navigable part of the cable-stayed structure.

There is no such bridge anywhere else. Since the Ob River is navigable, it was taken into account, first of all, the fact that two ships could go under the bridge. And this succeeded, even there was still room both in height and in width.

As an architectural find, the cable-stayed construction was ideally suited here. It allows suspended ceilings to be located above the surface that they hold. This is its main advantage and the most important distinguishing feature.

In this case, the length of the suspended shipping floor is 380 meters. it is by far the longest suspension structure in Russia. It has a mesh arch and a viewing platform.

Driving on the Bugrinsky bridge involves travel by car, and lovers of long walks can explore the local beauties and breathe in the gas pollution of the city. This type of arch, its shape resembling a curved bow, is often used in the symbolism of other building structures of the city, for example, you can see it in the famous opera house.

The traffic scheme on the Bugrinsky bridge will connect the left bank of Novosibirsk with the bridge with four exits. The movement along the bridge is designed as a “clover leaf”, has one directional exit. A pedestrian bridge was built for vacationers, so that you could get from the Vatutin street from the ski base to the snowy slopes of the Bugrinsky grove.

Special thanks to the designers for the careful preservation of the forest. Neat cutting along the site was done, areas of garden societies nearby were not affected. A detailed project has been worked out and a competent traffic scheme along the Bugrinsky Bridge has been developed, taking into account the detailed photo and video of the forest, which has made it possible to preserve the green lane as much as possible.

After the construction is completed, you can observe how the trees were demolished a few tens of meters from Vatutin Street. Cut down trees were compensated by planting new seedlings in the Kirov region to the adjacent territory of the bridge. A special budget was allocated for these purposes; three were planted for one ruined tree.

Bolshevik street in the area of ​​the bridge has changed. The carriageway is greatly expanded for highway throughput. Traffic on the Bugrinsky bridge provides for access to the bridge and exit from it from the far right lane. On both sides of the road there are pedestrian walkways and several bus stations.

Future plans

The Governor of the Novosibirsk Region, Vladimir Gorodetsky, after cutting the red ribbon of the Bugrinsky Bridge, enthusiastically voiced further plans for the construction of large-scale highways in the city. The first and most important, he noted that you need to build another bridge over the Ob River. A rather active movement today falls on the Chuysky highway road passing through Novosibirsk and its neighboring points, such as Iskitim and Berdsk. The patency of this section of the road reaches about 50 thousand cars per day. The situation is complicated by the fact that many citizens live within these areas and daily go to work in the city, and return in the evening.

The construction of this detour will significantly relieve the direction from the city to Leninsk-Kuznetsk to the interchange with Koltsovo and Akademgorodok.

Southwest transit plans to link the Chuysky tract and the territory of Novosibirsk from the Kirovsky district, connecting the M-51 and M-52 roads. The beginning will be a bunch of Tolmachy and Horde directions, it will end on the Eastern Bypass, smoothly passing into the Gusinobrodskoye Highway.

The Bugrinsky Bridge will enter the Southwest Transit system. It is planned to make a wide highway with three lanes in each direction. Also in the tasks is to create such a movement along the interchanges of the Bugrinsky bridge, which will allow you to move through the four districts of the city, cross the Ob along the bridge. This direction will become the longest road in the Novosibirsk region.

The next bridge is planned to be built near the embankment of the right bank. It will combine Ippodromskaya street with Labor Square. Authorities plan to make travel on this bridge toll. Whether Novosibirsk is ready for such a decision, time will tell.
