Poskonnik is a genus of perennials belonging to the family Asteraceae. The name is originally Russian, comes from the similarity of leaves with hemp leaves, male copies of which were called so: “lean” (with emphasis on the first syllable). According to the official classification, it is called the eupatorium (Eupatorium).
The purple bollard is one of the varieties of this genus. This is a tall (up to 1.5 m) rhizome plant with upright strong stems ending in corymbose inflorescences up to 25 cm in diameter. The leaves have whole, large, oblong-tapering. The flowers are small, can be painted white, pink (all shades), lilac. They begin to blossom in the middle of summer. Long flowering, lasts until the fall.

Plants bloom, usually in the second year of life. It is preferable to divide bushes in the early spring or in the fall, after flowering.
