Start small
Burning with enthusiasm when viewing many pictures, parents are often lost and do not know how to tastefully arrange the first children's photo album. If they have enough free time and skills in scrapbooking, the children's album will be truly exclusive. Otherwise, you can try to make an original out of a regular photo book.
To do this, you need a simple album with inserts for photos. It is worth choosing the option in which there are fields for notes. Next, you should stock up with 4 sheets of thick paper, which in size perfectly repeat the outline of the pages of the prepared photo book. This is the main set on which the future children's album will be built.
Now you should decide on the design theme and its color resolution. For example, the theme "Teddy" for the boy Misha. Therefore, you need a set of scrapbooking paper with the image of Teddy Bear. If it is not, then it will be enough to look at old children's books and magazines from which you can cut out the image of the world famous teddy bear, and use colored paper in pastel shades for the background. Curly hole punch, glue, scissors, decorative buttons, beads, braid are also useful.
The work begins with the fact that a new background with an application invented by the parents is glued to the cover of the photo album. Then on 4 sheets of thick paper make thematic collages, for example: “My first days”, “I’m already a year old” and others, which will be a kind of milestones of the baby’s development. These sheets will become separators that can be inserted into the children's album as you fill it with photos.

Anyone who enjoys scrapbooking and has a high level of skill can create a completely exclusive album. In this case, the children's “keeper” of the most important moments of life should be well thought out not only in terms of design, but also in content, so work should begin with the second.
The next step is the selection of materials. You will need a blank for a children's album (preferably on rings), sheets of thick paper according to the size of the album, and design items. As the latter, you can use a wide variety of materials, from scrapbooking kits to non-standard decor elements, such as bamboo rugs or dried flowers. Each page should be designed separately, depending on the semantic load that it carries.
And the last tip: if there are a lot of photos, and there is no way to choose one, then creating a collage using special computer programs will be an excellent solution.
A children's album is an opportunity to return to the past, therefore, when creating it, you should show all your imagination and skill.
