In our world there are quite a few different ways to create a variety of patterns. But, as a rule, they use the most common. These include French gum. It is good for knitting scarves, skirts, children's clothes - in general, of everything where an important component is the corrugated structure of the pattern. Is knitting a French gum difficult? The knitting pattern of such a pattern at first glance seems rather complicated. But this is only at first glance. There is nothing difficult here.
What is this gum?
And indeed, there is no super-complex in the implementation of this pattern. Even for beginner craftswomen. It will be quite enough to learn how to create front and back loops from threads using two knitting needles. French gum with knitting needles (a diagram of it will be presented a little lower) is considered quite openwork and tender. This is due to the fact that when knitting, only these two types of loops are used. And outwardly it is very different from the usual gum. It is also called a "snake" or "corrugation" precisely because there are some features in its application. Such an elastic band is used not only for knitting clothes in general, but also as a finish. Experts consider it to be its peculiarity and even its dissimilarity to other types of knitting precisely the purl stitches, because it is customary to knit them in the reverse order.
Another feature of the gum is the total number of typed loops. Usually it is a multiple of four, which means that all dialed loops should be divided into four. And here we must not forget about the two edge loops.
We knit correctly
The correct knitting of the French gum consists in the alternation of two rows. In the first, two facial and two wrong ones alternate. In this case, the front loops should be tied to the rear walls.
In the second row, the sequence will be as follows: 1 back loop, 2 front (you need to knit them behind the back wall of the loops), 1 wrong side. Then continue knitting, in which the first and second rows alternate.
How to learn to make french gum?
To begin with, I must say that the French gum with knitting needles (scheme will be given just below) is not viscous double-sided. And it is not necessary to use circular knitting needles for its manufacture. In this case, the pattern may simply not work.
Now you can try to make a pattern in the form of a sample. It is better to choose light yarn, because the pattern will not be visible on dark yarn. It will be quite difficult to understand whether the rows fit correctly or not.
For work, scissors, two knitting needles and threads of appropriate thickness will be needed.
So, we start knitting. French gum scheme which will show that the first row will consist of facial loops, should turn out pretty neat.
On the needles you need to dial 21 loops. Now remove, without knitting, one edge, knit the wrong one following it. Then you need to make two faces, of which, for starters, the second will be knitted for the back thread, and after that - the remaining one in the same way, but it should not be removed from the knitting needle. Doing everything exactly the same, you need to tie this series to the end.
And now it is necessary to knit the wrong side. This is done as follows: remove the edge loop, the next must be tied with the front method for the back thread. Knit the two sewing loops with the front thread, only you need to do this in the opposite direction, just like everything is done in the front row (the instruction is slightly higher). Another way
Craftswomen are always interested in trying different knitting options. To understand how the French gum fits with knitting needles (a verbal knitting scheme will be given just below), you can choose this option. So, on the knitting needles are loops in an amount that is a multiple of four, then three more loops are added (so that the pattern is symmetrical, and then two more loops, they will become the edge.
In the same way as in the above embodiment, the loops will alternate here.
First row: you need to remove the first loop (edge), then knit three loops with the wrong viscous. Now one needs to be made facial, and the next three loops - purl. Then all the actions are repeated from the first row.

When you need to do some thing with a French eraser, you need to understand that it will be free and voluminous. If the threads with which this thing is connected are too stretched, the pattern will turn out to be completely invisible and unattractive.
