Work on the reconstruction of the highway has already been deployed in full. It is planned to complete them in the fourth quarter of next year. The plan for the reconstruction of Ryazan Avenue includes its expansion into one lane in each direction. Traffic on the avenue after its reconstruction will be carried out in four lanes in each direction. This will significantly increase the throughput of the highway, even taking into account the fact that one lane will be reserved for public transport. In addition to expanding the roadway, the reconstruction of Ryazan Avenue includes a number of equally significant events. This is the construction of two ground trestles at the intersections with Nizhny Novgorod and Novokhokhlovskaya streets. The length of each of them is about two hundred meters.

The most difficult part of the project is the construction of a tunnel type interchange at the intersection with Tashkent Street and Khlobystova Street. After the traffic flows are divided into different levels, the intersection throughput will increase sharply. And, accordingly, the probability of traffic jams will decrease sharply, not only on this part of Ryazan Avenue, but also on the streets adjacent to it. A feature of this project should be the preservation of the already established principle of movement in the Southeastern administrative district. Its radical transformation does not include the ongoing reconstruction of Ryazan Avenue. The traffic pattern will remain the same, only its conditions will change.

To optimize traffic in the south of Moscow, a number of factors are important. In addition to the reconstruction of the thoroughfares themselves, everything that directly adjoins them is essential. The reconstruction of Ryazan Avenue, among other things, includes the construction of two large intercepting parking lots with a total capacity of more than a thousand places. The system of intercepting parking lots can dramatically reduce traffic tensions in the city center. In addition, the reconstruction project of Ryazan Avenue provides for the arrangement of 24 access pockets and seven new side passages. Their total length is more than four hundred meters.
