Traveling the world of Dark Souls 2, you will find various objects every now and then. The purpose of most of them is quite obvious, but some things will make you think about where to apply them. One of such mysterious objects is the fragrant branch of the past, which will be discussed in this article. Below you will learn about the properties of this thing, as well as about the locations in which it can be found and applied.
Why is it needed?
In principle, to deal with the appointment of a fragrant branch of the past is not so difficult. To do this, it is enough to carefully read its description, paying particular attention to the phrase "revives the turned into stone." A number of mysterious statues are placed around the game world that block passages to important locations. If they have already met on your way, it means that you can easily guess that the branch will help you revitalize these stone idols and thus clear your way.
The problem is that there will be several such statues, and not all of them are equally useful. Moreover, all branches are well hidden and at the initial stage of the game you are unlikely to accumulate a lot of them. Simply put, each revival must be carefully thought out, otherwise you may be in a disadvantageous situation.
Where to find?
Now that you are armed with theoretical information, it's time to start searching for fragrant branches of the past. You can find them in the following locations:
- Harvest Valley. Here you can get hold of two branches. The first is in a clearing with four monsters armed with sickles. You need to break the boards and pick up the item from the corpse. The second branch lies in a cave opposite the Poisonous Pool bonfire. To get into it, you must climb up a narrow path.
- The Iron Citadel. The branch is sold by Magerold. A purchase will cost you 7,500 souls.
- Braystone Bay - Tseldor. Kill the spider Freya, and then go into the aisle behind her. There you will find a hollow, from which the branch falls.
- Darkwood. And again, two branches in one location. The first one will be given out by Tark, but for this the character must be wearing the Ring of a whisper (will appear after killing the Click). The second coveted item is behind the petrified lion, which (suddenly!) Must first be revived with the help of another branch.
- Hill of Sinners. Kill the Forgotten Sinner and find the item in the chest.
- Trash. Immediately before entering the Black Cleft.
Please note that in order to access some of the above locations, you will first have to advance in the story by killing the corresponding bosses.
Where to apply?
Having become the owner of one or several branches, you can begin to revive these or those statues. More specifically:
- Rozabet (story character and trader) - stands on the way from Majula to Darkshire;
- ogre - hidden behind the skeleton of a dragon in the Aldia Citadel;
- three lions - all of them can be found in Darkshire;
- Strade (a dealer in unique weapons) - you will find him in one of the cameras of the Forgotten Fortress.
As you can see, there are much more branches in the game than characters that can be revived. Simply put, you can not worry about spending an extra item.
