If you can make boxes yourself, then this skill will be very useful to you. However, this decoration is not only suitable for gifts. You can decorate them with anything. A bow can be made from a square sheet of preferably colored double-sided paper.
Dimensions
There are several sizes suitable for making a bow. Each of them has its own distance, which must be bent for the upper corner. It is important to measure this length very accurately, since it depends on this whether our paper bow will be neat or not.
So, the sizes:
- a square of 7x7 cm, the upper corner is bent 1 cm;
- a square of 8.5x8.5 cm, the upper corner is bent 1.2 cm;
- a square 12x12 cm, the upper corner - 1.3 cm;
- a square of 14.5x14.5 cm, the upper corner - 1.6 cm.
Manufacturing process
At the heart of this bow is a basic form of origami, which is called "Double Square". It is often used to make many crafts.
To make a bow out of paper, we need to collapse our sheet along the diagonals and all the middle points of the sides.
Next, bend two opposite sides inward. The result should be a pair of squares. This is how the basis of everything is done - the basic form, the very “Double Square”.
From the deaf side, we bend the corner to the required distance from above. Then we straighten it, smooth the line slightly with your fingers and turn it on the other side. In this way we made our folds clearer so that it would be easier to make a bow out of paper.
Expand our future craft. Inside it we got a small square. We must bend it. Now tilt each side to a vertical line from above to get such strips. We turn this part over and do the same on the other side.
Now you need to carefully unwrap our bow made of paper, but not to the end. The strips just made must remain in the same condition. Inside, there is a nice square - it's a bundle.
Turn the workpiece over. We make cuts along the diagonal lines with the edge with scissors or a blade. At the squares on the sides we bend the corners. Our paper bow is beginning to take shape. We cut the lower part vertically and form ponytails.
Narrow them a little, bending them slightly on the sides. They can be cut, or you can leave them simply folded.
Now we hide the corners of the bow under the knot, after dropping a little glue to fix them.
